*Y/n / Strax pov*

soaring high above the clouds, I noticed that the hunter and the new Palico had finally both stopped screaming. The silence was pleasant but after a few minutes of not hearing anything but the wind and my jets roaring as I went, a thought rang through my mind... are they dead? I don't think they're dead. I mean, others like them had to climb up to my old nest atop the ruined pinnacle so surely, they're not dead...... as a long-tired sigh escaped me I lazily glanced at the hunter and Palico. They were both motionless for the most part... roughly shaking the hunter and the Palico to see if they were alive or not. Eventually I heard a long groan from the two of them before they began screaming in terror once again as they clung onto me like leeches.

y/n / Strax : oh, how wonderful... there screaming again...... and holding onto me......... dropping these two is becoming considerably more enticing.

Letting out another long sigh I continued to fly towards the edge, but after a few minutes I spotted someone who made a smile start to creep up on my face, even despite my two, shrieking captives, who still tightly held onto me in any way they could. Slowing to a hover, I stopped in front of Stormfly, which also had the added benefit of making my captives finally stop screaming.

Stormfly : "y/n! There you are- wait, who are these guys?"

As she said that Stormfly gestured to the hunter and Palico who I was holding onto. Grabbing the pallico in my other hand I gently pulled him off of my face so I could speak, though this did make the cat squirm like a snake in my grasp once again as he tried to find something new to cling onto.

y/n / Strax : "do you remember when i came back to the edge injured the day before me and the Palico were almost buried?"

Stormfly : "Yes?"

y/n / Strax : "these two are the ones who gave me said injuries."

As I said that Stormfly shifted her gaze from me to my captives. Her normally round pupils narrowed into sharp slits as she seemingly was thinking about something while a low growl rumbled through her throat.

Stormfly : "So what are you going to do with them?"

y/n / Strax : "Well, I was thinking that we could bring them back to the edge and have the Palico talk to them."

Stormfly : "Wait what!? They hurt you!"

y/n / Strax : "well... yes, but! Look at them currently, they're harmless. Plus, I destroyed their weaponry, so it's not like they can exactly fight back easily."

Stormfly : "I don't know babe... what if they try to hurt someone else?"

y/n / Strax : "rest assured love, if they try anything I'll make sure they are dealt with in the most painful way i can imagine."

As i said that i licked Stormfly's snout and nuzzled her snout which after a few moments of thinking she reciprocated.

Stormfly : "ok babe, i trust you."

y/n / Strax : "thank you love, I'll explain more once we're back at the edge, i promise."

Stormfly : "you better."

As she said that, we both chuckled a bit before flying back to the edge, thankfully the hunter and Palico were seemingly unconscious, sparing both of our ears from more screaming. Once we got back to the edge we flew over to the clubhouse. Thankfully everyone else was already there, discussing something, so we didn't have to go gather everyone up. Landing with a thud I tossed the hunter and the new palico into the middle of the room, seemingly unconscious, as all eyes landed on the pair and the room went silent with the only exception being a creaking floorboard when someone shifted their weight.
