*Y/n / Strax pov*

Firing a volley of dragon elements from my wings at a group of hunters, I watched as most of them narrowly dodged to the side, the few who didn't manage it being instantly obliterated, leaving a faint, red haze in their wake.

??? : "FIRE!!!"

Quickly turning to the direction of the voice, my eyes widened before I quickly moved one of my wings infront of myself to block a barrage of anti-monster cannon fire, gritting my teeth and grunting in pain before shaking the debris off my wing and glaring at the ship that sailed into view that shot me. It had several large, modified anti monster cannons and ballista's along with hunters outfitted in crudely made armor, seemingly made from various dragon's native to the archipelago like deadly nadders, gronckles, monstrous nightmares, and many more. Some even had armor from various monsters. At the sight, I felt anger start to bubble up within me, tinting my jets a violent red that started growing lighter and brighter as the thought of that happening to the riders' dragons crossed my mind.

Y/n / Strax : "I suppose you vermin have already stolen their weapons so why not copy their pathetic tactics. ONLY GIVES ME MORE OF A REASON TO ERADICATE THE LOT OF YOU!!!"

Cupping my wings together, I started funneling more dragon element to my jets and drawing more air in through my chest, creating a seething white ball of dragon element that distorted the air around it while arks of red lightning arked across its surface in front of my wings that distorted the air around it before I fired. The beam of dragon element slammed into the ship, instantly blowing a hole in the ship where it hit, sending flaming chunks of wood, metal and the occasional hunter flying through the air and into the ocean.

Y/n / Strax : "*pant, pant, pant*... t-that's what y-you *pant, pant* w-worms get!"

As I stood there, I could feel my legs shaking while my wings instantly dropped to the ground after I stopped the beam, it becoming nothing more than a white dot on the horizon as it traveled before eventually fizzling out.

Y/n / Strax : "*pant* o-ok, perhaps that w- *pant* -was a bit overkill. P-par for the course for this 'e-excursion' i- *pant * s-suppose."

Quickly taking a deep breath to regain my composure, I looked around for any sign of resistance the hunters might have been putting up, seeing nothing but smoldering debris and blood-stained ground.

Y/n / Strax : "hmph... I had hoped they'd at least put up more of a fight, oh well, that should be more than enough of a distraction, *deep breath* may as well look around a bit before meeting up with the others."

Walking around the exploded, melted and otherwise obliterated dock, I used my talons to move away some debris, finding some metal that looked to be at least partly salvageable, it wasn't half melted at least. Picking it up, I continued to trot through the wreckage when an oddly familiar scent crossed my nose. Sniffing the air, I followed the scent to its source, walking into a small, artificial clearing filled with several familiar plants. They could easily reach a human's chest in terms of height, with large orange leaves and a large reddish black berry on the top of a singular green stalk. At the sight, I winced back slightly, making sure not to get too close as I grit my teeth and pressed my talons into the earth. Unconsciously, I raised one of my wings up and fired several bolts of dragon element into some trees surrounding the grove and watched as they slowly fell on top of the grove, sealing it off.
