*toothless pov*

Hiccup was wandering around the cell, inspecting the various dragons caged in here with us as I laid down and watched. Not like I can really do anything else at the moment... I watched as Hiccup, slowly approached a gronkle who was licking the side of the wall hungrily, trying to get any rock or mineral she could into her mouth to little effect before snapping and snarling at Hiccup before returning her attention to the wall. Slowly, Hiccup took off his prosthetic leg and slammed it against the rock wall a few times, eventually dislodging a small stone around the size of his fist. Putting his leg back on, he picked up the small stone.

Hiccup : "hey, look, a-a delicious rock. Mm num-num-num."

Slowly, the Gronkle walked over to Hiccup, giving the rock a few quick sniffs before eventually licking the rock out of Hiccup's hand and chewing happily.

Hiccup : "yeah, yeah, good gronkle. That's it. *sigh*... ok, let's try this."

At that, Hiccup reached out his hand, with his palm facing the gronkle, and after a moment, a smile appeared on my face too as I realized what he was doing... only for my smile to disappear just as quickly as it had appeared when the gronkle growled at Hiccup, making him put his hand down.

Hiccup : "well... it's a start."

Suddenly, the door to the cage was flung open by the arena master followed by two hunters who walked over to the Razor whip and pushed it into a small, dragon proof cage with wheels on the bottom.

Rena master : "Now get the nightfury."

Toothless : "o. Gret..."

Putting himself between the hunters and i, Hiccup threw his arms out to the sides protectively.

Hiccup : "YOU STAY AWAY FROM HIM!!!"

One of the hunter slammed his fist into the side of Hiccup's head making him fall with a pained grunt while the pair of hunters walked over and grabbed me by my muzzle and started pushing and pulling me towards another cage similar to the one the razorwhip got put in as I dug my claws into the ground, scrapping and clawing at the stone before they ultimately forced me into the cage, slamming the door behind me while i growled at the hunters. Looking over to Hiccup I saw the arena master grab onto Hiccup's shoulder and put him back onto his feet roughly with a smile on his face.

Toothless : "icup!!!!"

Arena master : "You keep him feisty; I like that."

Hiccup quickly wrenched his shoulder out of the Arena master's grip before the Arena master started walking towards the center of the arena, the heavy metal gate swinging open. As the Razorwhip and I were wheeled into opposite sides of the arena as the sound of countless Vikings cheering and shouting filled the arena, many of them looking at me with bated breath making my wings drop down slightly while a touch of nervousness drifted through me before the hunter who was pushing my cage quickly ripped off my muzzle making me grunt in pain.

Toothless : "oww."

Arena master : "ladies and gentlemen, tonight i bring you for the first time in the ring... A NIGHT FURY!!!"

As soon as he said that, the crowd erupted into a near deafening cheer.

Arena master : "battling the most vicious dragon this side of changewing island, THE RAZORWHIP!!!"
