It was a fairly peaceful morning on the edge, for once everything was fairly quiet much to my dismay however, I was occupied with trying to come up with a plan to see if our resident palico was working with the hunter and the other palico who ambushed me all through the night. I was laying in my newly rebuilt nest with Stormfly who was sleeping peacefully and using one of my wings as a blanket, as I tried to think of a way to figure out if he was working with the hunter, I started to smell smoke in the air.

y/n / Strax : "*sigh*... what is it now?"

Somewhat groggily getting up I poked my head outside my nest and looked around. looking towards the other huts I saw that Hiccup and Toothless hut was up in flames with Snotlout and Hookfang atop it, presumably being the cause. As I saw the flaming hut, I shook my head and started to head towards the blaze as Toothless was frantically trying to use his wing to extinguish the fire, as I walked towards him, he quickly looked over to me.

Toothless : "wanna help!?"

y/n / Strax : "I would, although I *yawn* do not believe I could aid you without causing significantly more damage."

As i said that Toothless gave me a "seriously" look as i simply just shrugged much to his annoyance however a few moments later Hookfang and Snotlout had gotten off of the hut and the twins and barf and belch had flew in with a large tub of water and used it to put out the fire while they gave Snotlout and Hookfang a disappointed glare while slowly shaking their heads.

Hookfang : "ouch... I'm not gonna lie coming from them that look feels wrong."

y/n / Strax : "i couldn't agree more... it doesn't feel right for them."

As I say that Hookfang looks me up and down, a bit of concern appears on his face, presumably by how tired I look, and after he calmed down Toothless looked at me the same way.

Hookfang : "hey, y/n? Are you doing, ok? You look really tired."

y/n / Strax : "hmm? Oh! Yes, just a *yawn* long night...... and not in the way you're thinking."

As I say that last part his face went from a teasing face to a more natural one as the twins flew away to who knows where and Snotlout got off of Hookfang.

Snotlout : "they've changed."

Hiccup : "no Snotlout, they haven't changed... It's just that this is over the line. Even for them."

Snotlout : "Relax Hiccup, don't get your tunic in a bunch. Everything is fine."

y/n / Strax : "I would beg to differ..."

As i say that Snotlout leans up against part of Hiccup's wall and it collapses, almost crushing him in the process making me chuckle a bit.

y/n / Strax : "well i've some things i have to attend to so I'll see you all later."

As I walked off I headed back into my nest to check on Stormfly who was starting to wake up a bit. With a small smile on my face I nuzzle my snout against hers gently which she reciprocates before stopping to rest a bit more.

y/n / Strax : I'll go get her something to eat while she wakes up, it'll also give me a chance to wake up and think of how I can see if that cat will or will not betray us.
