Today is the last training session before international break next week. Me, Lessi and Kyra have just arrived but have gone our separate ways as Less has a meeting with one of our physios, Kyra needs the toilet and I am simply ready to start training. It's still pretty early, infanct training doesn't start for another half hour. I didn't expect anyone else to be here yet. I was walking towards the changing rooms, ready to put my kit on and get started, when I heard laughing from inside. Weird. Carefully pushing the door open, not knowing who to expect, I was met with a pair of peircing blue eyes. Great, Katie was here. An expected cloud of tension began to hover over us. Sitting next to Katie was a physio. Luckily, she sensed the building tension and broke the silence.

"I was just leaving, good to see you y/n." She said smiling at katie before standing up and patting my arm as she left the changing room. Great, alone with Katie McCabe. The girl who has refused to talk to me for the past 8 years. I am just praying Kyra or Lessi will be back soon.

Ignoring the fact that Katie's eyes were still on me, I sat down. Taking my phone out of my jogging bottom pocket and absentmindedly scrolling through Instagram. I didn't even notice Kyra walking into the room and the quiet noise coming from her and Katie's conversation. The changing room started to fill up as all the other girls arrived.

Putting my phone away, I pulled my hoodie off and unzipped my bag to get my training top out. I could feel eyes piercing into my back. I didn't turn around until I heard a familiar voice next to me.

"Katie's staring." less whispered from beside me. To be honest, I hadn't even noticed she'd come back from her meeting. I simply gave her a questioning look before whipping my head round to look at Katie. She wasn't staring anymore and was simply engrossed in conversation with Kyra and Leah.

I continued to get changed not having the energy for Katie and her weird behaviour. I walked out to training with Kyra and Steph, we discussed all things international break, relationships and food in the 5 minutes it took us to walk out onto the pitch.

Training wasn't too tough as we all needed to rest before our international matches. We mainly practiced passing and shooting but Jonas finished with a few running drills. Luckily, it started heavily raining so Jonas cut the session short and told us to go inside and get changed before lunch. As everyone was making their way quickly back inside, I grabbed less' arm to get her to stop walking.

"dance with me?" I shouted at her, she didn't answer, instead she just started dancing with me. We were having the time of our lives, dancing along to an imaginary beat and laughing our heads off. Some of our photographers started videoing us.

After our crazy few minutes, me and less ran into the changing room absolutely drenched. We earned a few funny looks, mainly laughs though. Katie didn't even turn around, I wondered what was so interesting about the peg hanging on the wall Infront of her. We all continued to get changed before heading into the dining hall for lunch.

If I'm honest, I wasn't particularly hungry but I still found myself lining up with the girls anyway. I was squashed in-between Leah and Beth, Viv was right behind us humming some song to herself and Katie was right at the front so I didn't have to worry about another encounter. I grabbed a salad and went to sit down on the closest table. It consisted of me, Kyra, Beth, Viv and Caitlin.

After training, we all headed to the meeting where Jonas basically just wished us all good luck for international camp and then we were told to head home and rest.

The drive home went really quick, we don't live that far away anyway but the three of us were singing our hearts out and that just seamed to make it go faster. When we got home, we all went to pack.

Before we knew it, it was the next day and the three of us were in the car taking Kyra to the airport. The goodbye wasn't difficult as we knew we would see eachother again in just over a week. Me and less headed to St. George's park, definitely ready for international break.

a/n: okay first proper chapter, didn't really know how long to make it but lmk what you think.
