The night extended, and we relished every moment, getting closer to Shreesha.

However, as time passed, both Veer and Siya indulged in more drinks, leaving me relatively sober since I had to drive back home, and Siya didn't drink.

"Stay still, don't move!" Shreesha commanded, holding Siya while I supported the increasingly erratic Veer.

She scolded them for their excessive drinking, and they listened with heads bowed.

Leaving the club, Siya seemed calm, but Veer was spiraling out of control.

"Okay, okay, listen, I have a joke," Veer interjected.

Shreesha rolled her eyes, and Veer asked, "Why?" The punchline followed, "Because it was two-tired!" Veer burst into laughter like a madman, and I couldn't help but snicker.

Shreesha glared at me, promptly silencing me.

Holding Siya, she unlocked the car, securing her in the passenger seat with the seatbelt.

After confirming her settled state, Shreesha turned her attention to the increasingly uncontrollable Veer.

She glared at him, hands on her hips, while I continued to hold him.

"Will you stop!" she exclaimed at Veer.

He stopped momentarily, stood straight, and looked at her with a blank expression.

After a brief silence, Veer broke free from my hold and started running, shouting, "No!" as he fled.

Wide-eyed, Shreesha was the first to run after him, and I followed suit.

We struggled to catch up as Veer laughed and ran around like an ecstatic child, babbling something

Some onlookers gave him strange stares. After numerous attempts, we managed to catch him and dragged him back towards the car, though he continued to wiggle in our grasp.

Left with no choice, Shreesha asked me to hold him for a moment and went to the car trunk, retrieving some ropes.

She approached us and instructed, "Put him inside the car." Veer, however, was not cooperative.

I pushed him into the car, and Shreesha, coming from the other side, proceeded to tie him to the back seat. I looked at her in shock.

She noticed my stare and explained, "I don't have a choice. He will pull some stunts I can't handle."

After closing the door, she took a deep breath and looked at me.

"I'm sorry for this. Because of my friends, you had to—" she began.

"No, no, it's okay. Now they're my friends too," I reassured her with a smile.

She smiled back, and as we lost ourselves in each other, we heard a banging noise.
