The new day began with the rising sun, and it promised to be a hectic one with several important meetings lined up and a stack of files to complete.

I arrived early at the office, unable even to greet Shreesha properly, despite her staying over last night.

Not to forget, she got her period last night, making her a bit moody. Honestly, periods are painful and challenging—for her physically and for me due to her mood swings. I insisted she stay home today, but she didn't listen and went to the office, citing pending work.

I entered the office and went straight to my cabin, with Arav following me, holding his iPad.

"Today, you have four meetings lined up, and one is starting within 10 minutes. After the meeting, you have to check the paperwork for our new project and some business proposals. Then, there are some designs to be finalized," he explained my schedule.

"so how is it going?" he asked taking seat in front of me

I nodded, my gaze fixed on my phone, looking at the text I sent her 10 minutes ago.

"Hey love, are you okay now?"

It was left on seen.

"Your relationship..." he exclaimed.

"Oh, that. Well, it's wonderful," I said, smiling and finally looking at him, placing my phone on the table.

He smiled and said, "Well then, I'm happy for you, but also upset that you didn't introduce me to her."

"Oh, come on, you know I was about to do that. I was just waiting for us to turn official," I said.

"Hmm, you could have at least told me about all this," he continued ranting.

As we were talking, there was a knock on the door.

"Come in," I said. The door opened, and Shreya entered the cabin.

"Ayansh, these are the files you asked for," she said, walking towards my desk.

"How—"

"How many times has he told you not to call him by his name, Miss Verma? Can't you understand such a simple thing?" Arav cut me off.

"But—"

"No 'buts.' It's the last warning. I'm tolerating you just because your dad is a good friend of mine. Know your limits," I snapped. She looked down, embarrassed.

"What now? Get out!" I snapped, making her flinch. She mumbled something under her breath and left the cabin, stomping her feet.

"Why do Uncle and Auntie like her so much? She's such a pain," Arav said, rolling his eyes.

I just shrugged my shoulders and stood up, adjusting my coat.

"Come on, get up. It's time for the meeting. Have you prepared the meeting room?" I asked as we walked out of my cabin towards the meeting room.

"Yes, sir. Everything is prepared; the clients will arrive in a while," he said, returning to his professional mode.

Finally, after a day filled with meetings, I entered my cabin, and it was already mid-afternoon. I slumped into the chair, dropping my head back, and sighed. I messaged my head, signaling a need for a break.

I closed my eyes and rested like that for a while. When I felt hands on my shoulders, massaging them lightly, it felt relaxing. I relaxed my shoulders and leaned fully on the chair.

That's when I heard the cabin door open. I opened my eyes and saw Shreesha and Arav entering the cabin. That's when reality hit me. I snapped my head, looked behind to see Shreya standing there with her hands still on my shoulders, while her face was close to mine.

I jerked her hand away and stood up. I looked back at Shreesha, who was looking at Shreya. Arav was standing there silently, taking in the situation.

"Uhh, I'll come back in a while," Shreesha said and hurriedly walked out, while Arav looked at me, then at Shreya, then left behind her. I couldn't believe what just happened.

I looked at Shreya with rage.

"What the hell are you doing in my cabin!" I yelled.

"I-I actually I was here to give some files but saw you were tired so—"

"That doesn't mean that you can touch me!" I snapped. "And why the hell were you so close to me?" I grew angrier each second.

"I-i—"

"Stop this bullshit of yours and GET LOST!" I screamed. She flinched and walked out. I noticed the smirk on her face. So, this was her plan, huh? I palmed my face and screamed in frustration. I'm gonna kill this bitch with my bare hands. I screamed in frustration.

Wait! Shreesha! Shit!

I ran out of my cabin, trying to find her, while the employees around were staring at me weirdly. I was walking towards the elevator when I saw her near the cafeteria. I took big steps towards her; she was facing away from me. I held her arm and turned her around. She looked at me surprised.

"What are you doing—" she asked, surprised.

"Why did you leave?" I asked, controlling the anger building inside me.

"I-a actually," she stammered.

"Why did you leave huh?! You don't trust me," I said, raising my voice. She shook her head immediately.

"No-no, it's not—"

"THEN WHY DID YOU LEAVE!?" I screamed, gaining attention from the people. Now everyone was staring at us.

"Will you at least let me speak!" she exclaimed, getting out of my hold.

I held her again by her shoulder, again pulling her closer. "What is there to speak huh! You left because you don't trust me!" I exclaimed, unable to control my anger.

"Are you out of your mind, at least let me TALK!" she snapped back, making me silent.

"I just wanted to let you deal with her yourself. Arav already told me about her. I thought to give you some time," she snapped.

I couldn't control and snapped back, "Are you FUCKING naive! Who does that? You should have come and stood beside me. That was the only thing you could do," I yelled, tightening my hold around her.

"I just thought you needed time," she said this time lowering her voice.

I can't believe this girl! I left her shoulder and stood straight. "Leave," I said.

"Huh?" she looked at me confused.

"I said leave!" I repeated, raising my voice a little.

She looked at me with an unbearable expression, and then looked around; everyone was there by now. She glanced at me for the last time and walked away. I couldn't let her stay with me right now. I was already so angry, and I just don't wanna hurt her, ironically I already did.

"IS THERE ANY SHOW GOING ON HERE!" I yelled at the staff. They gulped and went back to their work. I stormed towards my cabin.
