I woke up feeling someone shifting beside me.

I opened my eyes only to see a beautiful sight beside me. She was snuggling into me while we were hugging, the TV was still on.

I didn’t realize when we slept while watching movies.

I just stared at her, studying her features. She looks beautiful.

I didn’t know how long I kept staring at her until I noticed her waking up.

I quickly laid back and pretended to sleep. I felt her moving, so I slightly opened my eyes and saw her rubbing her eyes and looking around.

I quickly closed my eyes. I felt her snuggling more on me, and I smiled, pulling her closer.

"You're awake," she said suddenly. I didn't move; she poked my nose. "Are you really sleeping?" she asked again.

She suddenly stopped moving. Out of curiosity, I opened my eyes to find her staring at me.

"Haha, caught you!" she exclaimed, pointing at me with a wide smile. I smiled back widely, and we started laughing.

We were laughing when suddenly her phone rang.

She looked around for her phone and finally found it on the table below the chips packet.

She took it and answered the call without seeing the caller ID. When the person on the other side spoke, her eyes widened.

She looked at the phone and then at me.

She hurriedly got up and switched off the TV.

I was about to say something when she slapped my mouth, asking me to stay quiet.

Ouch, that hurts!

I rubbed my mouth. “Hello,” she said, finally calming down.

“What tomorrow?"
"No, I’m at a friend's home"
"Yeah"
"Yeah"
"Okay, I'll be there"
"Haa baba, jaldi aajaunge"
"Hmm, bye"

She said and finally hung up the call. She sighed, rubbing her temple, and reality hit her as she looked at me.

I was still palming my mouth. Damn, that hurt!

"Omg, I'm sorry. I didn't realize in panic I hit you. I'm sorry," she said, coming towards me.

"No, it's okay," I said, trying to smile but I couldn’t. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that, but—"

"It's okay, I'm fine now. See, it's just my lips are a bit red, and everything is fine," I said.

"I'm sorry," she said, now her eyes getting teary.

I panicked and held her face. "Hey, hey, it's okay. I was just joking; it's nothing. I'm fine, see," I said, wiping her tears.

"No, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that," she said like a baby. I cooed at her.

"Baby, I said it's okay. See, I'm fine now." She stopped for a moment, realizing what I just called her. "Uh-uh, I mean—"

"No, it's okay. You can call me that," she said, smiling shyly and looking away.

I squeezed her cheek, making her lips form a pout. "You look cute," I exclaimed.

"Now we're even," she said, slapping my hand away.

I laughed and backed off. "By the way, who called you that you slapped me this hard?" I said, teasing her.

"Will you stop? I'm already guilty," she exclaimed. "And yeah, my mom called."
