Chapter 12 - Wither

I see Ink ask me how I'm doing, I try to shrug it off and say "I'm fine" but he manages to see through my tears, after telling him my problems he gives me an understanding nod before heading off. Ring, ring. It's my boss "Hello? Why are you calling me today?" I ask my boss "We need you here." he simply replies. "But it's my day off" I say to him, but then he says "Just come to the damn store" I've been fed up with him, so I finally snap at him "NO! You give me one day off and you don't even pay me that much! and you're making me come in on my day off?! I'm putting in my two-weeks." All he does after that is hang up, I walk back to my apartment and slam the door shut. "Who pissed in your cereal?" My roommate asks me.

"My boss is making me go to work today" I replied blankly. "Today? Isn't it your day off?" Nova asked. "It is, I got so tired of the job and their shenanigans that i put in my two weeks" I say to them. "Your two weeks notice?" They ask before I reply "Yes." "Now I'm just going to on a walk, didn't want to worry you so I figured i should tell you"I say. I then leave the apartment to go back to the clearing in the forest. Once there I sit on a fallen log and I close my eyes, picturing life if I wasn't a failure or disappointment....and then i pass out, feeling a cloth over my mouth
