'All units. We've got reports of a burglary at 153 West 12th Street. Four suspects, considered armed. Last seen running into the alley beside the building.'

The channel cut out into static after the report was put out, the buzzing now bouncing off the walls of the dark alley way you had been hanging out in.

You lowered the book you'd been reading to pass the time away from your face slowly, slightly grinning as you moved your feet from their previous perch on the handlebars of your black motorbike.

You'd been waiting hours to hear that.

"Finally," You shook your head with a chuckle as you stuffed the book into the side pouch of your bike before turning it on and revving the engine. "Somebody did something stupid."

Third Person POV~

"Ricky, get yo'self movin'! The cops are gon' be on us!"

The first thug snapped at the one limping a few yards behind the group, only getting a cold glare in return as the man tried to keep up while dealing with the sharp pain shooting through his leg.

"Maybe I'd be keepin' up better if ya wouldn'ta knocked tha' shelf over on ma leg, Eric!"

Suddenly they all stopped walking as the man at the very front of their small group looked back, scowling at their childish bickering.

"Maybe we wouldn't be worrying about the cops at all if you idiots wouldn't of tripped the alarm!" He growled, the other men shutting up immediately.

"I hired you, because I needed extra hands to get this job done," He pointed a finger in their direction, his jaw visibly tensed. "NOT to listen to you argue like a couple of teenagers. So shut up. Cause I swear, if I hear one more word outta either of you, that security guard back there ain't gonna be the only one with a hole in his chest."

The two lesser men of the group both swallowed dryly at his words, simply nodding as the fourth and final man smirked at the newbies.

After glancing between the two for a good minute to make sure his point got through to them, the leader nodded once and continued walking through the alley, the fourth man jogging to walk next to him, chuckling to himself.

"Think ya made 'em wet their pants, Carter." He laughed quietly, glancing back at the other two who were silently walking behind, clutching the straps of the duffel bags they carried tightly.

He only shook his head in response, growling and mumbling something about how you can never find decent help anymore.

The four continued through the dark alleys, the sound of their footsteps splashing through shallow puddles bouncing off the buildings as they walked at a steady pace. They wanted to be moving faster, and put as much distance between themselves and the police as possible, but one member of their little gang made that difficult.

As the minutes passed, time fleeting away, the leader of the group slowly grew more agitated, exchanging glances with his right hand man in a silent debate on how to deal with the weak link of their already unstable operation.

This conversation wasn't known to the other two who were lagging behind a bit so that the conversation they were having wouldn't be heard by the others. Because let's face it, if the head honcho hears a conversation about a possible mutiny, they probably wouldn't be alive long enough to turn it into anything other than a conversation.

"I don' think it's a good idea to hang aroun' much longer..." Whispered the uninjured Eric, as he side glanced at his friend, who immediately took notice of the looks being exchanged by the two men ahead of them.
