Part 12

Jia's POV

At the condo….

" Tita saan po pumunta si mommy? Akala ko po nandito siya sa baba", I asked as I went downstairs.

"Ahmm, lumabas lang saglit may pupuntahan lang daw, pero babalik din daw siya agad", Tita Pat replied with her bothered face.

"  Okay ka lang po ba tita? Bakit parang nakakita po kayo ng multo at di kayo mapakali?", she averted her eyes.

" Ahh wa-la lang, oks lang ako", she replied.

" Okay po, magluluto lang po ako ng lunch natin, since umalis po si mommy", I said which she nodded and go back to her laptop.

While cooking our lunch, I heard the door opens. Mommy would probably went back already. So I went out to the kitchen only to notice that she were with someone.

"Mommy nakabalik…. Mr. Jake?", He is with mommy.

" Hi! Jia, It's nice to see you again", he greeted me with a hug which I find weird yet comforting just like my mom's hugs.

" Same with me po, Mr. Jake, if you don't mind po you can join us in our lunch. Sakto po at tapos napo yung niluluto ko. Have a seat po muna habang naghahain lang po ako", he gave me a wide smile then turned to my mom who has also a wide smile.

" Okay thank you", he replied.

While we were eating I notice the smile on my mom's and Mr. Jake's faces. I can sense their happiness particularly when they look at me.

" Marunong ka pala magluto Jia, ang sarap ng luto mo nagmana ka sa mommy mo", he compliments me.

" Thank you po, I think you're right po namana ko kay mommy yung galing po sa pagluluto", I smiled at my mom.

" Ahmm so magkakilala po pala kayo ni mommy?", I asked .

" Yeah, we know each other since college", Mr. Jake replied.

" We were best friends back then", my mom added.

" Talaga po, pero po di niyo po nabanggit sakin na may best friend po kayong guy ", I said.

" Matagal na kasi nung huli kaming nagkita like 15 years ago", my mom said which I nodded.

" Anak can we talk to you?", Mommy said after our meal.

" Ahmm.. Ate akyat muna ko sa kwarto", Tita Pat went to her room.

" About po saan mommy?", I innocently asked.

" About your real father, di ba sabi mo gusto mo siyang makilala", on that note I realized what she was implying.

" Siya po ba ang biological father ko", I looked at Mr. Jake which made them shocked on what I had said.

" Wait how did you know?", Mr. Jake asked.

" I'm an observant person po, I know when something weird is happening. When I saw you earlier po with mommy, I saw how happy she was and it's the first time na makita ko pong ganun siya kasaya and narinig ko po kayo kanina sa stairs na gusto niyong kausapin si mommy about something. Then sabi po kanina ni mommy 15 years na ang huli niyong pagkikita like my dad  and when I'm with you po I felt comfortable just like being with mom. So all of those seem to connect and had my conclusion na your my biological father", I said which left them shocked on my realization.

" Wala ngang duda, anak ka nga talaga namin ni Aika, you're so smart ", he chuckled while looking at mom.

" So that means kayo nga po ang tatay ko?", I asked with my teary eyes.

" Yes, I'm sorry na ngayon lang si Daddy. Sorry kung matagal akong nawala sa tabi niyo ng mommy mo. But starting now, I won't leave the two of you, you two are my life now. I love the both of you so much", he hugged me and mommy and gave us a peck on our foreheads.

" Ang saya ko po na finally our family is complete, so does this mean na you two are back together?"I told my parents and they looked at each other.

" Parang ganun na nga anak pero kailangan ko pa rin suyuin at bumawi sa mommy mo. Gusto kong paghirapan ulit ang sagot niya", My dad looked at my mom.

In the afternoon….

We were chatting in the living room when the door opened giving Lola as she got home from the office. She greeted us and stopped the moment she realized that my dad was there with us.

" Good afternoon po Ma'am, sorry po for my sudden appearance in your house and I'm really sorry for what I did to Aika and Jia 15 years ago. I understand if you get mad at me and don't want to see me. I'll leave now", my dad apologized with his head down and going to leave but..

" You don't have to, iho. Matagal na kitang napatawad, kami ni Jess. I know you have your reasons and I'd understand it. Masaya ako ngayon na makitang masaya ang anak at apo ko", Lola gave him a wide smile.

" Thank you Ma'am, pinapangako ko pong babawi po ako sa mag-ina ko,mamahalin at aalagaan ko po sila the way they deserve", my dad replied.

" Ma'am is too formal, you can call me Tita like you used to before and hindi pa rin naman nawala ang tiwala ko sayo", Lola said.

"Thank you po Ma..Tita", my dad hugged lola.

" Dito ka na mag dinner, I'm sure namiss mo ang luto ko", Lola offered.

" Opo, antagal na po nung huli ko pong natikman ang luto niyo", Daddy smiled.

At dinner…

" Ano na palang pinagkakaabalahan mo ngayon Jake anak?" Lola asked.

" Right now po I'm managing a construction company and have small businesses", Daddy replied.

" Talaga? Business man ka na pala ngayon, anong name nung company mo? ", She added.

" SkyArc Construction po pero under po siya ng Sandoval Holdings Corporation", he said.

" SkyArc? Hindi ba yan yung kilalang international company na pumasok dito sa bansa? Ikaw kuya ang CEO nung company na yun?"Tita Pat asked.

" Yup SkyArc nga yun, itinayo ko siya after kong matapos ang engineering degree ko and regarding sa Sandoval Holdings, naitayo ko siya together with my friends in US", Daddy said.

" So that means ikaw yung mysterious youngest business tycoon dito sa Pilipinas at sa Asia", Lola connect the dots which dad nodded.

" It's good na tinapos mo yung engineering degree mo and now nakapagtayo ka na ng sarili mong construction firm", My mom smile and chime in to the conversation.

" Of course, your part of it Aiks, you are one of the reasons kung bakit ko naabot ang lahat ng meron ako. You became my inspiration and I promise to myself na kapag dumating ang oras na magkita ulit tayo may mukhang may ihaharap ako sayo", Daddy confessed.

"Ehemm… we're still here po", everyone chuckled at what I said.

" Syempre kasama ka na rin dun anak, besides ikaw din naman ang magmamana ng lahat ng yun", daddy told me.

" Thanks po, pero I don't think I'm entitled to all of your hardworks until I work for it", I said.

" That's my daughter", Mommy said, which made everyone laugh.
