Jia's POV
It's 5 in the morning when I woke up and I noticed that I am alone in the bedroom. Mommy probably stood up early, so I went downstairs to check on her. When I went down, I saw her making our breakfast with Lola. My two Titas are there too, everyone has their own schedule today. Lola will go to the office, Tita Pat will be on duty for the next 48 hours, Tita Jill has errands with her friends and Mommy and I will go to PISAY to enroll me for the coming school year.
"Good morning anak, kain na, breakfast is ready", mommy greeted me with a morning kiss.
"Good morning mommy, Lola and Titas", I greeted everyone back.
" Tuloy ba kayo ngayon Aiks ni Jia sa PISAY?"Lola asked.
" Yes ma, since na ayos na namin ang mga documents ni Jia need na niyang mag enroll for the next school year", mommy replied.
" So kayo lang dalawa ang pupunta sa PISAY?" Lola added.
"No ma, Jake will come with us, actually pataas na siguro yun, nag message siya sakin na nasa baba na daw siya", my mom said which Lola nodded.
After a few minutes we heard the doorbell ring.
" Hi Daddy! Good morning", I greeted my dad with a hug.
" Good morning too princess ", he gave me a peck on cheek.
Then he greeted everyone with good morning too.
" Good morning love", he said as he kissed my mom.
" Eheeemmm… respeto naman sa single, ang sakit nyo sa mata", Tita Jill complained which made everyone laugh.
" Sagutin mo na kasi si Mickey para di ka napag- iiwanan at para mabawasan yang pagiging bitter mo. Tingnan mo kami ni Ate Aiks happy life lang ", Tita Pat said.
" Wow ha, pala desisyon ka Ate Trish", Tita Jill rolled her eyes.
" Hay naku tama na nga yan, ang aga aga nag-aasaran na kayo agad. Tama lang ang dating mo Jake nagluto kami ni Aika ng agahan, mag almusal muna kayo bago kayo umalis", Lola said.
" Thanks Tita", Daddy replied.
" Buti hindi ka busy ngayon Jake at masasamahan mo sina Aika and Jia na mag enroll?"Lola asked.
" I'm not busy po when it comes sa mag-ina ko, I cancelled all of my appointments po today. Gusto ko rin pong nandun ako once na magtake ng entrance exam si Jia sa PISAY for moral support po", daddy reasoned.
" That's good to hear", Lola replied.
" So excited ka na ba Jia maging taga PISAY? Finally may kasama nako ", Tita Jill said.
" Yes po, but we weren't sure if I will pass the exam later. We'll see po, I don't want po muna mag assume", I said.
" Kayang kaya mo yun, just believe in yourself ", Tita Pat said.
"I hope so po", I replied.
It's 9 in the morning when we arrived at PISAY…
" Let's go na sa School Registrar para maipasa na natin yung mga requirements mo anak", Mommy said which I nodded.
It's time to take the entrance exam and I'm getting nervous. PISAY is one of the prestigious high schools in the country and I am not sure if I can pass the exam.
" Good luck anak, We know you can do this. Your dad and I will be here outside to support you", mommy said to me.
" That's right anak, we'll be rooting for you. Always remember no matter what happens, your mommy and I will always be proud of you princess. So break a leg", daddy added.
Time flies, I finished the exam and we were waiting for the results.
" Ms. Jianna Elize R. Sandoval, congratulations you've passed the exam", one of the admin staff said.
" Talaga po", I can't believe what I heard.
" Actually po, you set the record Ms. Sandoval. It's the first time na may nakaperfect po sa entrance exam namin dito sa PISAY. You are the first examiner na makakuha ng pinaka mataas na score. Congratulations and welcome po sa PISAY", she proudly said.
" Mommy, Daddy I've passed the exam, I am accepted", I excitedly said to my parents.
" I told you, you can do this, Congrats princess", daddy congratulated me.
" Congrats anak I am proud of you, biruin mo ikaw pa ang kauna-unahang examiner na nakaperfect ng entrance exam,siguradong matutuwa ang Tita Jill mo once na malaman niya to ", mommy added.
" So dahil dyan we should celebrate it, come with me, I have a surprise for the both of you", daddy said.
" Saan tayo pupunta?"Mommy asked.
" Basta, I'll make sure na mag enjoy kayo ni Jia today. So ano excited na ba kayo?" He added.
" Yes daddy", I answered.
" Let's go", daddy opened the door of the car for us.
After 2 hours of travelling we arrived at a private beach…
" Daddy ang ganda po dito", I said with amusement.
" Wala pa ring nagbabago dito, pero anong ginagawa natin dito baka mahuli ulit tayo ng may-ari", mommy commented which made me wondered.
" Po? Mahuli ulit? You've been here before? ", I asked confusedly.
" Yes anak, this place was memorable to us. We used to go here before when we were in college. This place is our private space ng daddy mo. ", mommy replied.
" Itong lugar nato ang takbuhan namin ng mommy mo dati kapag gusto naming lumayo sa magulong buhay namin sa syudad at kapag pagod na pagod na kami sa pagiging estudyante. Dahil dagat ang nagpapakalma sa aming dalawa", daddy added.
" Doon tayo sa may bahay sa dulo", daddy pointed to the little bungalow house.
" Love are you sure na pwede tayo dito? Baka mahuli tayo ng may-ari", mommy asked.
" Don't worry love hindi na tayo mahuhuli ng may-ari atsaka alam na niyang pupunta tayo kaya nagpahanda siya ng mga pagkain para satin", daddy said with a mischievous smile.
" Bakit? Kakilala mo ba ang may kanya nitong beach? At masyado yatang VIP ang trato niya satin", my mom wondered.
" Yup at kilalang kilala niyo rin siya and in fact sobrang importante niyong dalawa ni Jia sa buhay niya kaya inihanda niya itong buong beach para sa inyo ", my dad replied.
" Po? Eh sino po ba ang may kanya nitong private beach? Para na rin po makapag thank you po tayo sa kanya sa pagpapahiram and sa pagacommodate niya po satin", I said.
" You'll know soon anak. For now let's enjoy the rest of the day".
After we ate, we took a little walk alongside the shore. The sunset will come any minute now and I will just enjoy this precious moment with my parents. I never imagined experiencing this kind of joyfulness I'm feeling right now. It felt like I found the missing pieces in my heart and that would be in the arms of my true parents.
" Oh Anak, did you enjoy it?"Daddy asked me as we sat down on the sand while watching the sunset.
" Yes po daddy, I'm very happy to spend time with you and mommy. Akala ko po hindi nato mangyayari. Akala ko hindi na po mabubuo ang family natin. Thank you po daddy for coming back for us and of course thank you po mommy for not giving up to find me. I love you both", I said as I hugged them.
" I'm very grateful din na bumalik kayo ng daddy mo sa buhay ko. Akala ko hindi ko na mabubuo ang pamilyang pinangarap ko dati. But look at where we are now, I was given another chance para buoin ulit ang family natin", mommy commented.
" From now on, we will grab any time to spend together and we will create memories that we can cherish forever", daddy replied.
