"When I first met Ella, we clicked instantly. We liked the same foods and hated the same movies. We became inseparable very fast. Even when we both started working on separate jobs, we would spend as much extra time together as we could. Until she met Tyler. I'd known Tyler a little bit, he was my brother's friend, so we were acquaintances. But when Ella and Tyler met, I knew from then on that all Ella's extra time would go to him. And it didn't bother me. I could instantly tell she was head over heels for him. I'm so happy for her, and I don't think I can stand up here and tell you how happy I am and get it done in under ten minutes. So, me being me, I wrote a song about it." I finish the speech on my phone.

It was dead silent as I walked over to the piano, which had been moved here from the ceremony, and sat down. The microphone was pointed at me, so I made sure it was on.

I took one final shaky breath and glanced to Joe. He looked confident. I fed off of his confidence and started the song.

"When Ella falls in love she paces the floor
Closes the blinds and locks the door
When Ella falls in love she calls up her dad
Jokes about the way that this one could go bad
She waits and takes her time
Cause little miss sunshine always thinks it's gonna rain
When Ella falls in love I know
That boy will never be the same"

I looked over to Ella and Tyler, grinning. They both had wide smiles.

"Cause she's the kind of book
That you can't put down
Like if cleopatra grew up in a small town
And all the bad boys would be good boys
If they only had a chance to love her
And to tell you the truth, sometimes I wish I was her

When Ella falls in love it's all on her face
Hangs in the air like stars in outer space
When Ella falls in love, she disappears
And we all just laugh after seein' it all these years
When Ella falls apart, it's when she's alone
She takes on the pain and bears it on her own
'Cause when Ella falls in love, she's in it for keeps
She won't walk away unless she knows she absolutely has to leave"

I looked back to Ella. Her eyebrows were furrowed together, a sign that she might start crying.

"Cause she's the kind of book
That you can't put down
Like if cleopatra grew up in a small town
And all the bad boys would be good boys
If they only had the chance to love her
And to tell you the truth, sometimes I wish I was her"

My eyes go back over to Joe.

"She's so New York, when she's in LA
She won't lose herself in love the way that I do"

Joes grin turns into a smile and I match it and look back to Ella.

"Cause she'll call you out, she'll put you in your place
When Ella falls in love, I'm learning"

I look to Tyler this time.

"Ella met a boy with eyes like a man
Turns out her heart fits right in the palm of his hand
Now he'll be her shelter when it rains
Little does he know, his whole worlds about to change

Cause she's the kind of book that you can't put down
Like if cleopatra grew up in a small town
And all the bad boys would be good boys
If they only had a chance to love her
And to tell you the truth, sometimes I wish I was her
Yeah, between me and you, sometimes I wish I was her"

After I finish the final note, Ella is right next to me. I stand up and hug her, "I'm so happy for you."

"I know," she whispers, "I love you."

"I love you too," I whisper back, people were clapping and cheering, but I didn't care all that much.

Ella and I go back to the wedding party table and I see someone stand up.
