Chapter Forty-Eight
"Guys, main behosh ho rahi hu."

× ANANYA ×

"What are you doing here, Anu?" I gulped nervously at this question.

"W-What are you doing here, bhai?" I questioned him back. The sight in front of me where Amar Bhai was standing right in front of me with his bags and a very tired expression on his face.

"I came here to surprise you on your birthday. What are you doing in Sahil's house?" He replied. So this is why he didn't wish me yesterday. My sensitive heart kinda felt hurt by that but now I get it.

"Sahil's house? Oh my my, how am I here?" I dramatically looked around as if I had no idea which place on the earth this was.

And the award for Best Actress goes to

Remember what happened when you tried acting the last time? Yep, I got a boyfriend. Slay.

Not the right time, Anu. Not the right time to flex your acting skills or your boyfriend.

Oh my my, I have a boyfriend now.

Amar Bhai snapped his fingers in front of my eyes to bring me out of my trance and that quite worked. He took a step forward and I stepped aside to let him enter.

"Ananya, what are you hiding?" He asked after scanning me from toe to head.

"Nothing, bhai. I have no idea how I ended up here. Trust me, I'm more shocked than you. I'll faint anytime." I kept bickering about whatever came to my mind to protect myself.

"Where is Sahil?" He asked and I coughed. The artificial rain did a lot of damage to my throat. I ended up getting a cold.

"Let me find and drag him here," I rushed inside the room after almost hitting my arm in the wall and cursing curses at it.

I snatched away the blanket from him and shook him. "Sahil, wake up, I'm in trouble."

"When are you not?" He mumbled in his sleep and rubbed his eyes.

Real.

"Oh wait, let me correct. We are in trouble." I said and he sat on the bed with eyes narrowed in confusion.

"First day of relationship and this is what I get to hear. Pareshani khud hi ghar bulayi maine, meri hi galti hai," I hit him with the pillow right on his face in irritation.
[I've invited trouble by myself. I'm the problem.]

"Bohat bolne lage ho."
[You are speaking too much]

"Now tell me what is the problem, my problem?" He asked me and blood rushed to my cheeks.

"Aaise situation mei blush mat karva, thik hai," I said and squinted my eyes for a mere second giving justice to my words.
[Don't make me blush in such situations]

"Problem?" He re-framed his question in one word and kept it in front of me.

"Amar bhai" I replied and he raised his eyebrows because he knew if he spoke a word, I'd speak ten more unrelated to the topic. So I had to stick to the topic, "He's here."

"Repeat your sentence. I heard something wrong." He said confidently.

"No, you heard it right. Amar bhai is sitting outside. He thought to give me a surprise and that is how he landed up here." I elaborated.

"What nonsense?" I rolled my eyes at these constant words that came out of his mouth.

Tell him that the earth is falling apart. What nonsense?
