⚕️⚕️⚕️ℓυкє Castellan left his mom, his home, the place he grew up. Luke abandoned her in spite of anger, he was mad at his dad for leaving, and he didn't know what to do about his mother, May Castellan anymore.
This leads Luke to where he is now, a 14 year old travelling across the states with a girl his age, Thalia Grace, and the younger one, Annabeth Chase. The 3 had a rough journey so far but made it to New York.
The three wandered around the city of New York, dodging people and keeping their hands on their weapons in alert to monsters. None of them have slept in days, weeks, at this point they were so exhausted they didn't even know how long they have been travelling or even what day it was. They slipped into a valley, attempting to take any hidden path they could to avoid attention.
Luke, Thalia, and Annabeth quickened their pace, becoming paranoid by the eerie ally feeling.

Eventually, the group came into view of a lengthy bridge. Over the bridge read 'wlcemc tp mew ykorr ,' whatever that meant Luke scoffed in his mind.
The trio grew helplessly tired, needed to stop for a while. They decided to branch off into a more natural environment and set up a safe house for the night, gathering food and a few other things to hold them up. Every day, night, second felt the same to Luke. For the past few years he's been fighting monsters, running, hiding, repeat. It felt never ending and he was beginning to loose faith in reaching safety. He had to hold a strong front for Annabeth and Thalia though, not wanting to stress them out. They were his family and did way more for him than anyone ever has.
As soon as the sun rose, blessing the skyline of its bright yellow rays of warmth, they set out to continue on. Encountering endless monsters during this period of travel, the group could sense that they were close. Nearing a huge forest range, a goat like boy appeared from behind a tall pine tree. He introduced himself as Grover Underwood, a stayr. Grover mentioned how there was no time to waste and informed the trio that Hades sent his best after them. The nervous goat's sense of direction could've used some work, taking a few wrong turns. He was panicking and backtracked, wasting presious time they needed to get to safety.
As they all now made their way up the hill, a group of mad looking women thrusted forward, in attempt to knock the kids off their feet. Annabeth tripped backwards, stumbling further down into the wet mud. A howl in near distance caught the attention of the monsters and the group, the hellhound announcing its arrival. Luke ran over to Annabeth, scooping her up in his arms and trying to scare off a fury with his sword positioned in his free hand. Thalia shouted at the others to run and that she would hold them off. While distracted, 2 of the furies rushed down on the girl, slashing at her ankles. Thalia screamed in pain, trying to occupy the furies while the others ran. Annabeth cried, yelling and thrashing in Luke's arm in protest. Grover frantically scanned the scene, having no other ideas. The three continued, sprinting up the hill with all the energy left from adrenaline.
Luke glanced back, catching a glimpse of Thalia looking back at him as well. Just then, a fury took advantage of the girl and finished her off, Thalia's body falling to the ground. Her limbs transformed into long tree roots, the trunk and leaves forming with a blast of light. The monsters on the other end of Thalia, who was now a pine tree, stared at it in shock. The furies and hellhound came back to their senses, planning to take out the other demigods and satyr, but a barrier stopped them. Zeus had turned his daughter into a tree that protected the camp.
A single tear slipped from Luke's eye in awe and pain. She was gone.

Authors note-Sorry this chapter is short, I don't know too much about their journey and didn't feel like dawning on the subject since it's not very important or original to my story.
