σкαу maybe Luke underestimated her but he had a thirst to prove that he was better.
As the conch horn blew, Luke watched from above as the teams went off scattering. The blue team formed a bunch of small groups, while the red team went off in 3 main sections. He sat there watching, knowing Thalia would've loved this game.
It was hard to see over the trees, but after 5 minutes, Luke located the blondie and an angry looking dark haired girl. They were talking for a brief second until the angry one walked out of view. Luke glanced back down at the short blonde, as she threw off her armor and got out of the spot she was in.
Averting his gaze from her, he turned his head to analyze the blue team. It was hard to keep track of the where the blue team was since they were everywhere. Luke relaxed into his hand supporting his chin as he leaned over his knees. He watched the blue team's flag, with a few guarding it. A few red players came up and took out 2 of the guarding opponents, but were ambushed by a blue group passing.
Startled by a thump, Luke's eyes went back to the fierce blonde. She was taking on 3 of the blues with one on each side of her. The first one took a stab, she countered and disarmed him. There was a pause filled of regret from the other two, obviously wanting to turn around. They others ran towards her at the same time, trying a new strategy. The girl used a smaller dagger to eliminate one, but getting the short, the other camper getting to throw a whip of their sword to her leg. Of course she side stepped then executed her offensive attack. The blue armored demigod fell backwards, pushing themselves away from her. The final blue sprinted at the smaller girl using the advantage of her not having a helmet to bring down a slice to her head. She deflected the attempt, their sword ending up on the ground 20 feet away. Beginners luck. Luke scoffed mentally.
The red team was advancing on blue's flag, dueling as they got closer to the flag. A group two times the size of the first on the blonde made their way towards her. Why is everyone so interested in her? Luke questioned to himself.
The girl appeared with an arrow, using it quickly then flinging it back over herself. She dueled with a blue, then slid over to the others. The blonde fought the other two on that side, doing some tricks and maneuvers on them.
Then blondie unexpectedly flipped over the ones left, with good height, about 5 feet over their heads.
"How the-?" Luke couldn't even finish as Annabeth sushed him in extreme focus mode of the girl's moves.
"She got him behind her while not even looking?!" Annabeth admired in shock. She was excited to meet the girl.
Luke rolled his eyes not even attempting to make commentary. When he glimpsed back over to the scene, the girl was throwing the last one's body over her, landing with a thud and her sword at their chest. Damn that was actually pretty cool, that guy was like 6'0 and looked about 200lbs. She was what like 5'3 something. Luke thought to himself. Shaking out of his thinking, he realized she was good, but he could do better.
From near her spot in the clearing, the rest of the red team broke out in shouts. They had captured the blue team's flag and successfully brought it over the border. They picked up the other dark haired girl he saw with the blonde at the beginning of the game. Annabeth clapped, smiling at the victory even though her cabin had lost. Luke was happy that she was smiling, he knew they both needed it.
He stood, pulling up Annabeth to exit the watching area. They made it down to where all of the demigods were, who were finally making their way back to the main section of camp, probably to shower. The Stoll brothers joined the two, conversing about the game. Luke was welcomed by the twins, quickly forming a connection and plotting pranks when he arrived at cabin 11.
"Come on guys we want to go talk to our favorite demigod." Travis informed Luke and Annabeth, gesturing them to follow. "We want you to meet them, will probably be your trainer as well." Connor added.
The group walked over to the dining pavilion fountain where the Stoll twins 'favorite demigod' was. Turning around, she beamed at the two troubled boys.
"My troll boys!" she exclaimed as she threw her arms up.
"Aurora cmon troll that's a little far." Travis stated in embarrassment.
"Sorry boys, it's gonna stick though." Aurora shrugged, now glancing at the tall curly haired boy with black hair and the younger girl with a smile plastered on her face.
"Ah, Aurora we would like to introduce you to 2 of our new additions to the camp." Connor nudged the duo to introduce themselves.
"Hi i'm Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena." Annabeth bursted. "I saw your performance, it was amazing!" She further pointed.
"Well it's nice to meet you Annabeth, i'm Aurora, daughter of Apollo." Aurora laughed as she crouched to meet eye level as the younger girl.
"Luke, son of Hermes." Luke bluntly announced.
Auroras smile turned into a flat one. "Nice to meet you as well Luke."
Her eyes leaving his, she looked back to the twins, her bright smile returning.
"Well boys, and Annabeth, it was nice seeing you but I need to get back to Woe and take a shower. Meet later for planning?" Aurora smirked at the duo.
"Yes ma'am we will be there." Both of the Stolls went googly eyed, synchronizing.
"You guys look like puppy dogs." Luke affirmed, mocking them.
"Oh shut up Luke, it's Aurora." Travis scorned at the judgmental boy.
"Anyways, we got some pranks to set up so we will catch you later Luke." Connor dismissed the two.
Luke and Annabeth decided to check out the dining pavilion, grabbing some lunch.
