ιт was chilly, Aurora was leaving the dining pavilion to attend the usual campfire. Her boots crushed the gravel beneath her as she made her way to Clarisse. She hadn't seen the dark hair girl she took a liking to in a while.

Catching up with Clarisse, she didn't notice the tall boy who sat next to her. Chiron yelled, the demigods immediately falling silent and averting their attention to him. He did his usual routine, announcing events, which included the wall challenge with a parkour tracks and competition between demigods. And also his boring things, then allowing the Apollo cabin to sing. After the song, Aurora finally saw Luke out of her peripheral view, letting a breath out in annoyance that he could've sat with his cabin.

"Sleeping beauty, you can't avoid me and walk away every time you see me and THEN have the nerve to take Annabeth. You're all she talks about quite frankly." Luke leaned over and whispered in her ear.

"Well Skywalker, not my fault you're insufferable so she would rather spend her time with me." Aurora snarled back as she just avoided eye contact as well, staring at the flames.

She got up, walking off before she went off on him. Aurora heard footsteps behind her, rolling her eyes at the boy who was definitely behind her.

"If you don't like me so much why do you keep talking to me." Aurora teased still walking forward.

He caught up with her, reaching her right side. "You're right I don't like you, it's fun to mess with you."

"Right don't let me forget to tell Connor and Travis to get a leash for you." Aurora continued, not sparing him a glance. She hated how he was so good looking but his ego was even taller than him. What a waste of his beauty. She mentally cursed.

"Calm down Aurora nothing wrong with a good prank." Luke admitted, walking sideways to watch her.

"You annoying me is not a prank or a good one, you're just like a mosquito. Annoying and clingy." Aurora suggested, holding her laugh in. She missed being a little mean to Ares, him being the only other god to tolerate her sassy attitude when she had one.

"Clingy?! Yeah alright princess i'm just trying to have some entertainment." Luke mouthed.

"Why don't you speak less and train more. Maybe your ego will match your sword fighting soon enough, that's if you're good." Aurora launched back, not holding anything in.

"Might have to take you up on that offer. Duel tomorrow at 10." He took that as a demand not a question.

Aurora never backed down though. "Deal."

Luke finally stopped following her, changing his path towards cabin 11. Aurora huffed out, glad he took her agreement as a que to leave her alone for once.

She made it to her yellow cabin door, slipping in before any of the other demigods.

Thinking over everything that has happened at camp so far, Aurora rewinded the prophecy's words in her mind as she eventually drifted to sleep.

"There's not much time left for you." A dark voice triggered Aurora's fight or flight senses, sitting up quickly. This voice was one she knew to well. Who or what they were was the question that nagged the blonde girl.

Above her was dark and red. Underneath her body, was black char, it smelt and looked like the Earth was burned right in front of her eyes. This place gave off an aura similar to the Underworld, but it was stronger, more powerful. Wherever she was, Aurora could tell she's never seen it before and the more obvious one, it looked beyond dangerous.

Aurora felt the fire all around her, the heat was flowing through her whole body. The evil was tempting, confusing Aurora. Nothing could do that kind of persuasion to gods or goddesses.

"Please don't. I don't want this. I don't want to help you." The same girl yelled out.

Aurora's mind was swirling, racing at a rate she couldn't process. The voice of the girl became louder, a force pulling Aurora towards it. A new source of power embracing from Aurora. She began to see images in her mind, not of the girl's face, but of her experience. Her past was flying through Aurora's imagination.

Feeling the closer presence of both voices, Aurora averted her energy to becoming hidden in the shadows. Hades taught her how to use her traveling abilities through the shadows and darkness. Manipulating herself into them, she walked on the air of the shadows, coming into view of the two figures.

The girl turned around, facing Aurora. She caught her breath, hoping to go unnoticed. Aurora knew her Umbrakinesis and shadow traveling were strong, there wasn't any way for her to be seen or felt. Just then, the girl slowly turned back to the massive figure in front of her.

"You will serve me girl. You have no choice." The figure scorched, his body lighting in flames.

Aurora tried to look at their faces, but it was useless. Everything was clear besides their faces being a blur. Aurora took note of this for later significance keeping.

Her body tensed, feeling weaker as Aurora tried anything she had to clear her vision. Even her control in mist manipulation only smudged a bit. Aurora focused her mind and powers all to the girl, attempting anything to put a face to the voice. To find out anything to help this girl.

A moment later, the figures both looked at her. Fire erupted from all around her, engulfing her into oblivion. Aurora fell back, spots forming in her eyes.

"My dear, summon your familiar. You need to get out now." A woman called out faintly to Aurora.

The blonde felt a surge of tingling through her body with fuzziness filling her mind to follow.

Just as Aurora was about to slip into unconsciousness, a yellow cat nuzzled her up onto its back.
