тнє red team stood on the opposite side of the river than the blue. Chiron shouted the rules at the demigods, most of them choosing to ignore him and disobey anyways. Aurora was positioned next to Clarisse, tapping into her battle focus. She wasn't nervous, but she knew a lot of the demigods would try to attack her in jealously of her title, believing that ganging up on her will beat her.
Her team roared at their cue, the game beginning at the sound of Chiron's bellow.
"Red team fall out!" The Ares counselor ordered, a large group of the team heading out for offense. Clarisse grabbed Aurora's arm, turning her body to face herself.
"This way." She directed. "The braver and more skilled fighters will come for you. We will give them what they want." Clarisse played out, Aurora nodding plotting ideas of her own into the plan. She liked Clarisse and the two became friends, but Aurora doesn't take orders from anyone.
"Ai ai captain." Aurora confirmed, getting into her hiding spot.
"Good. I'll be going for blue's flag, kick some ass Aurora." Clarisse sent her a sly smirk.
Aurora stepped out of the spot as Clarisse faded out of view. She slipped off her helmet, tossing it into the bush she came out of, shaking her hair free. Whipping around her sword to adjust to the weight, magic flowed out to the tip from natural instinct. Aurora's training had improved her ability to intertwine the two concepts in seconds.
The first wave of 3 campers approached. They each took a side around her. Aurora allowing them to walk around her in amusement of what she is about to do to them. The first one stepped closer, reluctantly throwing out his arm, intending to scratch her arm. Aurora easily deflected the weak excuse of his offense, disarming him in seconds. The other two watched in shock, Aurora switching her focus to send each an expression of warning. Yet, they advanced at the same time.
Aurora pulled out the dagger in her left pocket, drawing both out to face the demigods on both sides of her. She decided to advance on the one she faced with her dagger, getting that one out of the way. She side stepped a slice by her leg, countering with a hit to their arm, leaving a mark. The camper backed off, surrendering. The last one of the group charged with their sword above their head in both their hands. They ripped their sword down on Aurora's head. She brought up her blade over her head to catch their sword with hers, battling each other. Aurora shoved her arms above, their sword reflecting back, traveling all the way toward the fall tree. Aurora walked forward, the tip of her sword resting against their forehead. Their eyes went wide, mumbling inaudible curses before turning away and stumbling away.
The blonde dusted her hands off by using her special black and gold corset top as always. Too bad this stupid armor over her chest plate covered some of her top. Flinging a hair tie off her wrist, she placed her sword in her pocket to flip her hair up.
Swinging her sword back into her dominant hand, Aurora paced around, feeling useless at the moment. To no surprise an ambush of 6 campers made their way towards her. Do they really have nothing better to do. Aurora drew a breath, though she loved the entertainment of sending the demigods packing.
Pulling out her bow and a single arrow, she placed the bow in the same hand as her sword, quickly flinging an arrow at one their shoulders, the demigod falling back. The rest glanced at each other, slowly grouping to the front and back of her.
Tossing her bow back over her shoulder, Aurora twisted her sword. She got into an advancing position, awaiting their foolish attack. One came at her, running with their sword tip facing her chest. Aurora took her blade and faced the side of it toward the opponent, their tip ending up smashing into the flat of her sword, making no damage whatsoever. "Ignorance," she muttered.
She secretly used her air abilities to slide across the ground, behind 3 of the demigods, catching them off guard. Aurora spun back around, holding her arm around one with her sword caressing their neck. The camper huffed, backing off to where they entered from. The next one turned to face her. Deciding to take offense this time, she stabbed at their side, quick switching to their other side in a split second. Taking the hit, they pushed up their hips in attempt to counter but failed, receiving another hit by the base of her sword to the forehead.
The final one on this side sent a slice sideways to her head. Aurora ducked in time, bending backwards then right back up to forward. The two ended up dueling for a minute, but not for long until Aurora got a clean hit to their abdomen.
Aurora was in the mood for experimenting, summoning air to her fingertips. She gave her self a little boost, flipping over one of the enemies, placing herself in the middle of the two. Taking her sword in her right hand, she threw her arm backwards, aiming for the one behind hers shin as she crouched all in one swift movement. They cried out in agony before loosing balance walking backwards.
Face to face with the last opponent of the gang, Aurora began dueling with them, rotating her wrist to pull their sword out of their hand. After successfully performing the maneuver, as she was knelt, she sprung back up holding the forearm of the demigod. Tossing their body from behind her and using her back to fling them over, Aurora pinned them on the ground, bringing her sword to push the tip against their chest. They brought up their dirty hands in surrender. Getting up from her position, she let the camper go, feeling a little bad about giving them an extra piece of her mind.
Hearing yelling off in the distance, she recognized the cheer of victory. Smiling to herself, she half sprinted and skipped over to her team with the blue flag, now turning into the Ares cabin flag. Brushing away a stray piece of hair out of her face, Aurora strutted over towards Clarisse who was getting picked up into the air. The dark haired girl glanced down at the crowd below her, catching sight of Aurora laughing amusedly at her.
Glory was pretty sweet.
