тнє sun arrived early this morning, burning through the windows of cabin 7. To no surprise, every window would be open for the rays to fill the room. Aurora shuffled in her bed, Woe jumping on top of the girl.

"Woe seriously, you couldn't have woke me up any other way." Aurora groggily answered as she opened her eyes. Her lion was staring down at her with her tongue out. Aurora reached up to ruffle Woe's mane and tap her nose.

Pushing her body up, Aurora checked her clock reading 5:30am. She slipped out of her bed, throwing on a bathing suit with white jeans shorts and one of her bigger camp shirts. She went over to her drawer, grabbing a tight black top with a chest plate mended into it, from her sister of course. Aurora threw the top and her weapons into her bag, slinging it over her shoulder.

The two left the cabin, taking in the warmth of the sun and slight breeze. They walked over to the dock hovering over the lake. Aurora and Woe took a dip in the fresh water. It was always so calming for her to let loose without people around. Woe was pouncing around trying to bite fish. Aurora shook her head, laughing at her companion. They played around for an hour, enjoying their alone time.

As Aurora giggled at Woe who got covered in sea weed, staring up at the blonde helplessly. Hearing creaks in the wood from the dock next to them, Aurora looked up to see a boy with dark curly hair. He was rubbing his eyes, clearly just waking up. He looked up and their eyes met, her finally realizing it was the tall boy who wasn't very bright yesterday. She turned back around to Woe, ignoring his presence. Most demigods she met here so far were either nice to her or scared of her, not as much rude.

He sat down at the edge of the dock with his legs hanging over the wood.

"What are you doing up and out here so early?" Aurora finally decided to converse with him since he was just watching.

"On a walk, clearing my mind." Luke notified the nosy girl. Shifting his gaze towards the animal he rose a brow.

"That's Woe, my lion. I've had her since a baby." Aurora claimed seeing his eyes fixate on the lion playing in the water without a care.

He nodded his head acknowledging her response. It was quiet for a second, the sound of Woe splashing around in the background. "How is the 'best swordswoman' a daughter of Apollo, pretty pathetic honestly." Luke stated ruining the civil moment.

"How is the 'new boy' such an asshole, annoying if you ask me." Aurora countered. Who does he think he is waltzing in teasing her just because he is taller than her. She was almost never rude to people, she only did in a playful way. I didn't even do anything to him but if thats what he wants to play so be it. Aurora thought as she acted as if he wasn't there now. She was the type of person to go by treating people how they treat you. Although now Aurora started to feel a little guilty, not knowing if his journey was tough or if he had a bad past. Still, he had no reason to come at her for no reason.

I understand why my sister is the virgin goddess now. Aurora smiled to herself at the thought of her sister.

He got up and walked away. Aurora took that as a victory of her words getting to him and informing him that his presence wasn't welcome. After all he ruined her alone time with Woe where she got to be herself.

She finally swam back around, noticing him walk off in the distance.

Aurora climbed back up the familiar ladder and Woe jumped up onto the dock, shaking her body of water. The girl wrung out her hair as well, putting it into a braid for now.

Aurora left Woe to go do whatever she pleased. The goddess entered the training area, ready for her workout and dueling practice she coordinated with Annabeth. She saw Annabeth later the night before after she visited the Stoll brothers to prepare their pranks. Annabeth had asked for her to help with training. She kindly accepted, excited to train a demigod. Aurora has only been here at camp for a few weeks, but was easily capable of training due to her excessive exposure from the gods, though no one knew of that.

Aurora waited for the younger girl, placing her bag on the ground near her. Pulling out her sword she confronted needing to give it a name. She pondered on it, finalizing on δύναμη, which meant power and strength in greek. For short, Aurora settled on virtue thinking the name sounded cool. For her bow, ατρόμητος, meaning fearless. The nickname she came up with was Phobos, being the greek version of fear and a satellite of Mars. The greek names that she announced had engraved into each weapon.

Annabeth jogged over, assuming she got there tardy. "Hi Aurora, I hope i'm not late." She announced out of breath.

"No worries Anna, you're on time I just got here a little early." Aurora smiled down at the girl as she sharpened her sword.

"To get started, I warm up by running 20 laps around the arena then doing a quick body workout." Aurora instructed. Annabeth nodded, dropping her dagger on the ground next to Aurora's bag.

The two ran their laps and completed the workout, repeating the whole thing 3 times.

Annabeth was struggling to breathe, trying to catch her breath after they finished.

"Go get some water Anna, the first day sucks, but the next day is even worse." Aurora tilted her head, attempting to relieve the girl at the moment.

Aurora was used to the other gods training her, and they gave her no mercy or breaks. But, since this was Annabeth's first day she decided to let her off a little more. Aurora sensed the girls self disciplinary so she knew she would go hard on herself.

They trained for a good few hours, Annabeth was doing good for just starting off really.

"I think we should wrap up training today, good job today kid." Aurora patted the girls back.

Annabeth smiled up at her. "Thank you for training me, it means a lot."

"Would you want to cool off and go on a walk?" Aurora offered the girl as they grabbed their stuff.

"Yeah that would be nice." Annabeth glanced up at her.

As the two girls walked back from the training arena, Aurora lead her to the forest area she and Woe discovered the black flower at.

"If you don't mind me asking, how did you end up here at camp so young." Aurora inquired, hoping she didn't cross any boundaries with her curiosity.

"My dad married another woman, she hated me and that I was different. She only cared for her own children, disregarding me any chance she had. Any father was amazing until she came along, so I ran away-"

"Oh my gods i'm sorry Anna." Aurora reacted, before Annabeth continued.

"Shortly after I left, I met 2 other people like me, Luke and uh our friend Thalia Grace. She didn't make it. I will forever be grateful for what she did for us." The girl paused swallowing her tears in. Aurora patiently listened, careful not to interrupt.

They came up to a rock that was big enough for them to sit on. Aurora patted a spot next to her for the girl to sit.

"Hey i'm here if you want to talk about it. I've never had a friend before coming here and if she was important to you i'd like to learn about her." Aurora comforted the girl as best she could.

Annabeth hugged the blonde, engulfing her in a tight embrace. Aurora wasn't used to this kind of affection, lightly wrapping her arms in return around the small girl.

"Thank you Aurora." Annabeth sadly smiled as she let go of her.
