You nervously waited outside your apartment building, wearing a comfortable black and white dress that reached to your knees. Your heels weren't that tall-only two inches tall. You were planning to go for a cute look. You hoped that it would be fine for the date.
Birthday date.
Just the thought of it made you smile.
"The hell are you smiling at?"
You flinched when you saw that your date, Katsuki Bakugo, had arrived. And damn, he actually had a fashion sense. You blushed as you oggled him.
"You look...great." You said with a stupid smile on your face.
"Hmph. Of course I'm great." Katsuki smirked. "Let's get this shit over with."
"Oh! Right. Let's see...so first, I wanna go to the arcade and then we can have a coffee break and then! We can go to...actually, I haven't planned that yet. All I know is that after that, we'll have some nice dinner. Sound good?"
"Only the arcade part."
"Mm. You're no fun." You pouted, "you should sound more excited. It's my birthday, after all."
"Shouldn't you celebrate this kind of shit with your family?"
Your smile faltered but you regained your cheerfulness. "But I want to spend it with you."
"Tch."
"Thank you for going out of your way to spend time with me. I appreciate it."
"...whatever."
You giddily grabbed his arm and dragged him to the arcade.
"I win, again." You pretended to blow smoke from the gun connected to the arcade game. After the coffee break, Katsuki wanted to go back to the arcade to get revenge.
You won again, in the end.
Katsuki gritted his teeth, holding the gun tightly. His hands started to steam, his eyes becoming pointy. You had beat his high score.
"This...this doesn't mean shit!" He threw the gun down on his knee and broke it, throwing the remaining plastic on the ground. He grabbed your arm and dragged you away, ignoring the yelling from the manager.
"Uhm...where are we going?"
He didn't reply but you could hear his teeth grinding against each other. If he kept up this bad habit, he'd end up losing his teeth by the age of...well, he did say he was in his twenties. You were too so you didn't mind if he was in his late twenties.
He found a basketball court and stopped you at one end before going to the other end.
"We're settling this like men!" He shouted, getting into stance.
You blankly stared before blinking. "W...what? What? What?!"
"Here goes!" He rushed towards you. You screamed, running away from him.
"Wait! Wait, wait!"
"No waiting!"
You screamed again, tripping and falling on the concrete. You stayed there, giving up on trying to stop him.
"Tag."
You looked up in surprise when Katsuki lightly tapped your head. "You're it."
"Oh."
You got up and Katsuki bolted away. You laughed before running after him, kicking your heels off along the way. You ran around the basketball court, chasing after him.
You ran straight for him, tripping and falling on top of him. You started laughing, grabbing his shoulders as you did. Your laughing calmed down when you realized he wasn't laughing along.
He stared up at you, his face surprised. You looked back down at him, your face also contorting into surprise. You both stared at each other.
"Are you guys done?"
You jumped off him when a teenager walked up to them, a disgusted look on his face.
"Y-yes! I mean-we weren't doing anything!" You were flustered, denying that anything had happened.
"Yeah...sure." The teenager grimaced before his friends came over. It was time to bolt.
You started to make your way out of the basketball court with Katsuki, silent.
"Hey, lady!" The teenager called, pointing at the heels you kicked off. "You forgot something!"
"Shit." You grew completely red, doing the walk of shame to retrieve your shoes.
"Hey, no shame in loving someone." The teenager said. "But out in public?"
"Y-yes, I know." You shut the eyes tightly as you grabbed your heels. "Sorry you had to see that."
"It's okay. If he don't treat you right, hit him in the balls." The teenager grinned before dribbling the ball.
"Thanks?" You scampered back to Katsuki, putting your heels back on. Katsuki stood still as you held onto his shoulder as support.
Katsuki grumbled, interlocking his fingers with yours. "Don't get it twisted. I just hate teenagers."
You smiled, deciding to accept the excuse and ignore the pink blush dusting his ears.
