It was awkward... so very awkward.

They got to the diner and sat down and now it was awkward.

"So, how long have you known Ms. Lucy?" Hyunjin asked.

"Uhm, almost twenty years now. It'll be twenty years in September," Felix answered.

   "That is a long time,"

Felix pressed his lips together and nodded.

"How did you meet her? I mean- was she a family friend?"

To tell the truth or to lie?

"She was Chaewon and I's foster mom for ten years,"

   "Oh," was all Hyunjin said.

"Hyunjin, it is fine to ask questions,"  Felix stated.

"How did you end up in foster care? Especially in the states, when you were born in Australia,"

"She was our godmother and a foster mom, there were legal issues with her taking us in as our godmother, so she fostered us. Before she could adopt us though we were adopted by someone else... who paid a good amount to make sure it wasn't contested by her,"

"Why didn't she adopt you as soon as you were in her care?" Hyunjin asked.

"Chae and I were four and we were very confused for a long time. One second we having fun playing games, the next we are playing the quiet game and being put in the closet to hide.

We were so young, everything around us was moving so fast. I don't think she wanted to put us through that process," Felix explained.

It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what happened.

   "I'm sorry that happened,"

Felix shrugged, "It was a long time ago,"

Hyunjin gave a small nod as their food was placed down.

By the end of breakfast, Felix found himself liking Hyunjin just a little.

   -

"So, why are you here? You didn't seem like the horse riding, hoedown type of person, when we met in Milan," Felix mentioned.

"Horse riding, yes, I took lessons when I was younger and I quite liked it. Hoedowns, no. My father sent Yeji and I here as a lesson or something," Hyunjin said.

   "Lesson for what?"

"Well, Yeji has this tendency of staying inside Twenty-four/seven, I think he is hoping this will get her to go outside more,"

Felix hummed, "And you?" he questioned.

"Well... you read me pretty well in Milan and it seems that both Yeji and my dad are sick of my attitude," Hyunjin said watching Felix step on to a mossy tree log.

The blond nodded and jumped off of the log.

"You mentioned last night that you haven't had a relationship since you were seventeen, why is that?" Hyunjin questioned.

"Never have time for it. I was busy with school, then work, then university and work, now the boutique. When I was younger, Ms. Lucy always said; "C'est ta love story," like in the song," Felix told him

   "It's your love story,"

   "Yup," Felix said.

Hyunjin caught Felix by his waist as he stumbled, "So, what is in your love story?" He asked softly.

"Uhm, what is in my love story? I don't know, something stable and there, I guess," Felix said moving from Hyunjin's hold.

"Ms. Lucy's nephew, Chan, he likes you,"

Felix smiled and shook his head, "That is not true,"

Hyunjin smiled, "Un sourire peut bâtir tout un empire,"

The younger blinked a couple times, "What?"

"One smile can build an entire empire, a rough translation if remember correctly," Hyunjin said.

"I-I know what it means, but it was kind of just sudden?" Felix seemed so unsure.

"Your smile, it is beautiful. A smile that could build an empire,"

"I... uhm... there is a clearing ahead, I think you'd like it, especially if you're going to take pictures," Felix said, quickly turning and beginning to walk away.

    Hyunjin smiled.

   The younger was quite cute.
