Ahead stretched a narrow alley, dimly lit by sparse lanterns. Jaskier , his lute slung over his shoulder, walked next to Geralt, who carried the bag containing the monstrous heart they had just removed. Lyra, gently clasping her pregnant belly with her hands, walked between them.

Jaskier couldn't help but share his thoughts, which was a common occurrence during their walks. "I can never get over how cute they look, you know? For monsters. I mean, they have these teddy bear faces and they're like..." he squeaked in a high-pitched voice, "No, please, don't, don't hurt me!" He chuckled, then continued, "And then, bam, fangs." Just a boat with fangs. Everyone does their own thing. How many people do you think this thing has eaten? Seven. Yes. And we will need all this. Okay, we... Wow"

Lyra, humming a quiet tune to herself, grinned at Jaskier 's antics, but could not help but warn him: "Be careful, Jask"

Jaskier suddenly smiled widely and teased. "Oh, are you talking to me again?"

He cast a playful glance at Lyra. She rolled her eyes.

Geralt sighed, feeling the weight of the last five days. He remained with Lyra and Jaskier until the birth of the twins, a period marked by the couple's constant arguing and Lyra's subsequent decision to stop speaking to Jaskier . The tension remained even as they walked down the narrow alley, and Jaskier 's light-hearted jokes only temporarily distracted them from their main concern.

The trio, now standing near the door with a peculiar lock, stopped. Geralt, with the weariness that only five days of family fuss could bring, turned to Lyra and Jaskier . There was weariness in his eyes, not only from hunting monsters, but also from the unintended role of referee he played in their domestic squabbles.

— How many times have you quarreled in the last five days?

Geralt's voice sounded like a tired man.

Lyra and Jaskier exchanged glances, silently acknowledging the frequent disagreements that colored their time together. Jaskier shrugged casually.

"Well, Lyra started it all. She wanted to break my lute," he admitted with a playful grin.

Lyra rolled her eyes, her response was quick. "I already apologized, Jask. It's just hormones, you know, pregnancy"

She placed her hand on her round belly, as if the twins inside were confirming the truth of her words.

Geralt sighed with a mixture of disappointment and resignation. "It's started again," he muttered to himself, a weary observer of the ongoing melodrama within this strange family.

The strange lock on the door seemed to reflect the complexity of the relationships in this house, a riddle that no one knew how to solve.

As the discussion moved from arguing to a more important issue, Jaskier expressed skepticism about the value of the information he was seeking.

"Yes from. I mean, how much could their information be worth? Find the one who is hunting Ciri?"

Geralt, sighing in response, reached into his bag and pulled out the monster's huge heart. His grotesque presence resonated with a loud, rhythmic heartbeat. Lyra, noticing the organ, muttered a remark about how she was about to throw up. Jaskier , undeterred, touched the spiked metal handle when Geralt intervened, throwing his heart at it.

Jaskier , his eyes wide with amusement, exclaimed: "Wow! Is it a giant metal spike hidden in your secret door, or are you just horny?"

He glanced playfully at Geralt, who answered with a sigh: "Not your best joke"

Lyra couldn't resist the opportunity to tease Jaskier . "Well, Jask," she said with a playful grin, "perhaps it's time for you to stop flirting with both women and men." Focus on the task at hand"
