Y/N HUDSON

JULY 30th, 1965

"Daddy, can I get that one? That one, that one please!" Lisa-Marie shouted, pointing at a child's-play pink dress in a catalogue.

"Anything for ya', angel. Now, hold on a minute, look at that blue one right there," Elvis suggested.

Elvis was the perfect father. He kept Lisa-Marie by his side most of the time we were around. He was buying her everything she merely looked at, suppers were decided by her, and, she had every ounce of free time she could have imagined.

Not that I wasn't upset with Elvis for doing all of this, he was making up for the time lost between them, but I was just worried that she was going to continue to be over spoiled.

While Elvis and Lisa-Marie were playing, I walked into the living room. I sat down on the carpet in front of Lisa and tickled her feet. Squirming and squealing, she leaned into Elvis, begging for help.

"Daddy! Help me!" Lisa-Marie squealed.

"Who's messing with ya', I'll get 'em," he responded.

She pointed, still squealing, "mommy! Mommy got me!"

Elvis looked down at me and raised a brow, leaning forward. "I'll get mommy then."

Suddenly, I was scooped up by Elvis, bridal style. He ran around the room, tossing me up and down. I began to squeal while instinctively wrapping my arms around Elvis' neck.

Lisa-Marie got a kick out of this and started jumping on the couch.

I was laughing before my world quite literally turned upside down. Elvis threw my legs over his shoulder when he turned me upside down. Lisa-Marie jumped off the couch and began tickling my now exposed stomach.

I was practically screaming at this point, begging for mercy. Elvis let out a roar of laughter as he pinched my butt, satisfied with my reaction. Elvis shifted his body ever so slightly, and we both seemed to notice someone else in the room at the same time.

While being upside down, I could still make out the familiar face. Priscilla was standing in the middle of the living room doorway, her hands clasped together.

Elvis turned my body right-side up, mumbling 'there you go'. He fixed my hair and helped me pull my shirt back down. Surprised by his kind gestures, he pushed a strand of hair behind my ear, I looked up at him with a doe eyed expression.

"You alright, mama?" He asked.

I nodded, side eyeing Priscilla while picking up Lisa-Marie. He bent down to kiss Lisa's forehead, his hand resting on my shoulder.

"How 'bout uhh.... How 'bout you and Lisa go shopping? You get her some new clothes for the show tonigh' and get yourself sum'th real pretty," Elvis said, reaching his hand down to grab his black leather wallet.

I shook my head. "I thought you wanted to be there to buy Lisa-Marie clothes if we went shoppin'," I whispered.

Priscilla stood there in silence. Her breathing was steady and she folded her hands in front of her belly.
