Taylor should have known that the happiness wouldn't last. Falling back on old habits, thoughts and feelings seemed to be the only thing she was good at these days.

Taylor had been distant with many people. Putting on a brave face in public but deep down wanting nothing to do with any of them. Her heart wanted to reach out; to hold onto the happiness, love and friendship she once used to share with so many. But the heart can't want, and the head always wins. She had been avoiding Travis too.

Taylor was now almost nineteen weeks pregnant, and it showed. Her belly hadn't completely popped just yet, but it was only a matter of time. She was already halfway through her second trimester and still only her family and close friends knew about the baby. Tree had been campaigning for her to finally release a statement about it but every time Taylor refused and shut the woman down.

"Tay, you realise that the longer you leave it to tell everyone, the worse it's going to be for you. The press will just find out in their own way."

"Yeah well maybe I should let them." Taylor snapped back snidely.

"Seriously Taylor have you learnt nothing?" Tree attempted to retaliate. It wasn't going to end well...

"Look Tree I don't want to talk about this any further. If you are going to keep lecturing me, I am just going to hang up." Taylor complaied, rubbing her head with her free hand.

"Taylor I"

"Bye" Taylor replied, hanging up the phone. She didn't want to be rude to Tree but she could not deal with another day of badgering to release a statement to the media. If it wasn't Tree, then it was her mother. And if it wasn't her mother, it was Travis.

Poor dear Travis Kelce, a man who was just trying.

He had been bearing the brunt of Taylor's horrific hormones which only seemed to be getting worse with every week. She still was vomiting multiple times a day, only able to keep down certain foods and drinks, most of her nutrition coming from sugary drinks and a liquid iv with vitamins and electrolytes that Tree had ordered for Taylor.

Today Travis had a free day after his triumphant victory over the Las Vegas Raiders at home at Arrowhead the day before. Taylor had been there to watch the game as she usually would now that the Eras Tour was dead, gone and buried. With Tortured Poets officially out and circulating with popularity, there was nothing much more for Taylor to do other than sit and wallow.

Today Taylor woke up, and her head chose violence.

She flung herself out of bed to find the bedroom empty, Travis must have gone downstairs to make himself some breakfast. He used to make them both breakfast, the one meal he was good at making, but ever since she had gotten pregnant, Taylor had insisted that Travis didn't waste time, energy or food on making her an extravagant breakfast when she was only going to see it again in a few hours when the baby inevitably decided for the millionth time that they didn't like waffles.

So, after a couple of rounds of vomiting, which had now replaced morning sex and cuddles, she flung on one of Travis' old Cleveland heights jumpers that was her favourite. He practically gifted it to her, but she made him wear it every so often so that it maintained its signature Travis smell that brought her so much comfort and joy. When she got downstairs, she found Travis sat at the kitchen island on one of their bar stools demolishing his way through a mountain of pancakes. They smelt so good, and Taylor could practically feel the baby doing somersaults at the thought of eating them but Taylor managed to resist.
