Fourth of July!!! One of her favourite holidays, a close second to Christmas. Waking up early had become part of Taylor's normal morning routine. It had gone from her raging morning sickness whilst pregnant to getting up with Luna, who had decided to be an early bird baby, much to Travis' disappointment. However that morning was a different story...

They had decided to host a Fourth of July party that year for the all important Independence Day. They had been unable to be all together the previous year due to Taylor's tour still ongoing in Europe but this year Taylor had been determined to get the whole Swift-Kelce family together again. As usual, she was hosting it at the Holiday House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. That house was famous for Fourth of July parties and held a special place in her heart, even more so when Travis told her what it meant to him...

"Did you know that the picture of you from this house was the picture that made me think I loved you?" Travis uttered as they were watching the waves crash against the sandy peaks of the beach from their patio balcony.

"Really? When was that." Taylor asked, a smile creeping against her cheeks. Travis blushed, a bright shade of Scarlett as he began to retell the story from that night.

"I was back home in Kansas City. I had just finished Tight End University in Nashville and we were all ready talking about you at that point, even though I didn't take much notice." Travis looked down at his hands. He wasn't ashamed of it, far from it: it lead him to his girl, the love of his life.

"What were you guys saying about me?"

"Well I made friendship bracelets for the guys, you know like your fans do for your concerts. They found it cute but they did laugh that I was copying Taylor Swift Fans. I know they were joking but at that point I remember telling Pat I couldn't come to the concert in Kansas City with him. Not because I didn't want to but because I'd already shown my cards and given the game away."

"Oh Trav-" Taylor uttered, a tinge of sadness in her voice as she abandoned the notebook and pen she had been writing down song ideas in to hug Travis into her side in her arms.

"It's ok, really. I should have known it was bound to happen. Anyway, I was sat at home when your photo came up. I was mindlessly scrolling through instagram when I really should have been sleeping and then it popped up. Someone had tagged you in a group photo down on the lawn with the caption 'see you next week Kansas City'. I can just remember thinking whoever this girl is, she is the moat beautiful woman I have ever seen in my whole entire life. And then I saw it was you, and I immediately text Pat to ask if he still had my ticket going spare."

"That is the sweetest thing anyone has said to me. I love you trav." She leaned in to kiss him softly.

"I love you too Tay, so much it's not even funny." He sighed as they continued to stare out at the slowly setting sun, dipping its heat below the horizon out in the distance.

Taylor woke up that morning to find the bed empty. The place beside her that was normally filled by her favourite person was cold and stark, with no signs of life for a good while now. She glanced over to see a fresh cup of coffee left with a note on the nightstand beside her bed.

Made a fresh pot of coffee and took Little Miss Kelce downstairs for a bottle and a play downstairs so that she doesn't wake everyone up x

She smiled, putting the note to one side before reaching for her phone and coffee cup. The entire family had come to spend Fourth of July with them in. Rhode Island. It would be the first time the Kelce family had come to their house in Rhode Island and Taylor was excited to play hostess. Her brother had just text to say that their flight would be landing soon; Austin had some business he had to do in Los Angeles before they could fly out to the east coast for Independence Day. After a while of mindlessly scrolling through her social medias and news outlets, Taylor decided to get up. She didn't bother getting ready just yet, just throwing on her white cotton dressing gown over the top of her pyjamas and made her way downstairs into the living room where she stopped in her tracks. From her viewing point in the corner of the room she could see Travis and Luna. The other girls were watching Bluey in the other room, with Travis keeping Luna somewhere quieter seeing as she had just eaten her breakfast. Watching the two of them bond and play together was the sweetest thing in her eyes. He may be worthy of the hall of fame for his athleticism and talents, but Taylor couldn't think of a job role Travis was more suited to than that of being a father.
