I looked at the clock on the dashboard of the ambulanceand it read 21:30. The rain was coming down hard and I knew we were going to bebusy because people do stupid things when they see rain. I heard my name beingcalled, it seemed there was an accident on the highway. This one was bad andthey didn't know if there were any survivors. We rushed into the ambulance andsped to the accident site, once we got there we immediately checked on everyperson until one of the civilians that were standing on the sidelines said thatthere was a man in the car calling for help. My first instinct was to help so Iran to aid the guy and to my shock he was alive, the car was crushing him yethe was breathing I told him that I was going to get help but he refused. Hekept on coughing up blood then said that he wasn't going to make it, his namewas tony and he shoved a book into my hands and with his last breath he said"Aurora Summers" and then he was gone. I called for my team and tried to save himbut they pulled me away saying there was no way just as the car blew up. Iscreamed as tears ran down my face for a man who I did not know. I looked atthe time on my watch and told my partner that the time of death was 22:22. Thebook in my hand was covered in blood which meant that he held it in his chestall that time. The book was a little worn from all the carrying but it was wellkept as if it was a precious treasure. It shocked me that he was the only onewho died in that accident and at an odd time too. The next day I was at homewhen I opened the journal he gave me and saw on the first page a building withthe name "BEFORE I FORGET' I knew where that was and jumped into my car. It wasa 30-minute drive and I was nervous, I didn't know how this woman would reactor how I would explain everything. I walked to the reception desk and told themI was a paramedic and I was looking for someone by the name of Aurora. An olderlooking nurse walked up to me and she had a heartbroken look on her face, she ledme to an empty room and asked me why I was looking for her. I began to explainthat I was the paramedic who responded to an accident yesterday which involveda man by the name of tony, I told her that unfortunately he didn't make it, hegave me this book which I handed to her and told her his last words were AuroraSummers. She sat down on the chair that was next to the bed and broke downcrying, it took her about 2 minutes until she calmed down then explained thatthe person I was looking for passed away last night at 22:22 from a heartattack
