Part 29

YUVIKA'S POV~

It was the night before IPL final match, I was sitting on the dark balcony sipping on my cold coffee made by my brother. Just to let you know I was in in mumbai, in my brother's apartment. There was only two days break before final so Ofcourse I couldn't go home and came here straightforwardly.

Looking at the busy road filled with cars, peoples and various types of colorful lights, Thousands of thoughts clouded up my mind that what will happen to us after IPL ends, will Shreyas keep in touch with me? Will we stop talking? And many more....

The brightness of the streetlights made the dark balcony lit up & the tensed frown on my face got completely visible, I came out of my trance when suddenly I felt a familiar presence beside me. A nervous chuckle left my mouth when I saw my brother sitting beside me with a playful glare

~"Why were you sitting here with that ugly face? With that frown you looked like a chudail" saying so he couldn't help but busted out laughing
It didn't take me much time to jump on him and beat him, soon a cat fight start between us and after some time we both pulled back getting exhausted. This helped to lighten up the mood and we cracked a hearty smile. He ruffled my hairs and kept his hands around my neck as I again took a sip on my coffee

~"Tomorrow we have to leave by 4:00 p.m . So madam please get ready before that otherwise I will leave you here n go alone" he threaten me with a sweet mocking look & I whined like a kid

~"Nooo, I'll be ready...waise bhiii---" I was about to expose him when he cut my words off in the middle
~"Accha accha chhod ye sab, D-did I told you that ummm I ain't going Kolkata with y-ou"
~"WHATTT? I mean why?"
~"I actually didn't got the leave!" He confessed with a heavy sigh
~"But you--- does mom dad know?"
He nodded quietly
~"That means I was the only one who didn't know any of these?"
~"Actually there's something more, I again got posted to Bengalore"
~"But you said you'll try for Kolkata--" Doesn't matter how much we fight he's still my power piller & I'm very much emotionally dependent on him, the thought of him not coming back home made me vulnerable! tears welled up in my eyes and I culched his shirt tightly and kept my head on his chest, he also engulfed me in a side hug trying to clam me down

~"So you're not coming home with me?"
~"Hummm, but before shifting i'll get one month leave so do you wanna go to hiking?"
I couldn't contain my happiness as soon as I heard about hiking and squirmed in his hold
~"Deal?"
~"Deal" he said kissing the side of my head

For some time we sat there completely silent then suddenly he asked something unexpected
~"Are you seeing someone from ICT?" It sounded quiet serious to me & I didn't knew what to answer
~"Wha-t are you t-talking about?! Haha there's nothing like that" I tried to laugh it off
~"You know you can't lie to me, spill the tea already" he stated calmly
~"Well, I ummm, you know Shr-shreyas I-Iyer! Him & I, we are kinda like clo-se but There'sNothingLikeThatBetweenUs" I said the last sentence in one breath
~"Whattt! Like SHREYAS IYER? You guys are close? Come on don't you dare to fool me" he was literally on the floor holding his stomach because he couldn't stop laughing and thought I was lying!
~"It's true, I ain't lying. I just don't know what's going on between us, it's complicated!" I sighed tiredly
~"Gosh, my sister has grown up a lot, I see"
I only rolled my eyes in return
~"Care to explain from the very start?"
I kinda told him everything but not everything yk----

~"Well I would've disagreed but as it's the Shreyas Iyer your long time crush and so is mine so I would let you go with the flow. But if he dares to do something dirty with you, you know how far I'll go right! You're an adult but I hope you remember you boundaries, do not let yourself down just because he's a celebrity"
With some heartfelt convo we both left for our rooms to get some beauty sleep.

Next Day

Me and Shreyas didn't talked much after our last meeting, only a hand few texts.
After waking up in the morn I lazily took my phone and decided to wish him best of luck.
Soon enough I got a reply saying if we could meet after the match and I said YESSSS.

I hastily got ready & wore something casual cause my brother was shouting from last one hour that we're getting late! Taking a last glance at my mirror I left my room. He had a lil business to take care of on our way then we left for the stadium.

It was a intense match between MI & KKR, People were shouting, screaming but my gaze was fixed on Shreyas. MI won the toss and decided to bowl first, I kept on praying for Shreyas but he got out at 53, at least he made a half century. MI was playing extremely well and for sometime it felt like they are gonna win but Russell & Narine the saviours they are the saved KKR from losing & KKR won the match ( I'm not including any details cause MI is my fav n it hurts😭)

Happy cheers & applause filled the ground and me n my brother was in cloud nine. Players were dancing n enjoying and I could see the glow in Shrey's face....

After the interviews & ceremonies people started leaving and by brother also dragged me outside....

~"Why are you looking back? Keep your head straight, you'll bump into people!" He stated getting frustrated
~"Well, can you just leave me here?" I spoke nervously
~"What? Listen Yuv it's already late--"
~"I need to meet Shreyas, he asked me to wait for him. You can go h-home" I confessed looking down
~"I-, I got it but it's not safe to leave you alone in midnight, he's a jerk to as---" before he could finish I threw a dead glare at him
~"Let's wait for him in the coffee shop, I'll leave only when he arrives" rolling his eyes he took me to the nearest coffee shop

SHREY'S POV~

I can't explain in words how happy we were, celebration took place in our changing room & everyone was dancing n drinking like crazy. I was pretty much engaged in the heartfelt moment but I knew someone must be waiting for me patiently. We are taking rest for tomorrow & the very next day was our celebration party so it felt okay to leave early. I told the boys to have fun & quickly texted her asking her location and left the room....
Soon she shared her live location & I turned my car towards there
