The battle was over, and it had gone exactly how it originally had, though there was still loss and casualties from it, Elle had to push that out of her mind, and remain focused on her mission. Both her and the ancient one had remained on the roof of the sanctum, fighting any stray Chitauri that came close, but neither one had seen Banner. Elle didn't want to hope that meant she had changed the outcome for the better, but maybe, just maybe she did.

Watching them from the mirror dimension, at the tower, the six Avengers were battle worn and weary, not that she could blame them, it was a hard fight. They all seemed too tired to want to talk, so they had done their statements, and headed off to their rooms for the night. Elle stayed close to Thor, knowing he was her next task, though she did send death glares to Rogers mostly.

Once they reached the floor, where they would be staying, the team mumbled goodnight to one another, and slipped into their assigned rooms. Elle managed to follow Thor before he closed his door and she waited a few moments, as he put Mjolnir down, and dropped to sit on the bed, running a hand over his face. She slipped out of the mirror dimension, and sighed.

'I'm sorry Thor..'.. She spoke quietly enough, but he still jumped, and tensed. She held her hands up as she moved to sit in the desk chair... 'Easy big guy, here as a friendly..'

'Who are you?..'.. He was clearly ready to pounce.

'Even in the darkest of days, light and life still continue, still fight to reach the light. I'm a friend, I promise..'.. She gave him a smile, and he relaxed.

'How do you know that?..'.. He asked her, his eyes trailing over her, assessing.

'Long story. I know those are words your mother would say to you, growing up, when you felt defeated. I'm sorry you had to go through all this..'.. She held her hand up as he went to speak... 'My name is Elle Grey, and I'm from the future..'

Thor blinked at her. That wasn't possible, was it? Though she knew such words that his mother would say, he had to believe her... 'How?..'

'Its a bit of a story, but you once told me, to say those words, and that your mother could confirm who I am. I need your help, to save the future, to save everyone..'.. She said, and he noticed the sadness in her.

'What do you want me to do?..'.. This had been a very long day, a few days in fact, and they had lost a friend.

'When you return to Asgard with Loki and the tesseract, please speak with Odin and Frigga, I need to come there, and tell you all, though I can't go into too much detail, it's important that you know..'.. She tells him... 'The future I come from, it's not possible for me to return to. This timeline has branched off, I've already changed a few things..'

Thor thought it over, and she was right, if anyone can confirm the truth in her words, it would be his mother... 'I will ask them. Who are you, from the future?..'

'That I cannot tell you, not yet, but I assure you, we're friends..'.. Her bright smile, made his mood lighten... 'You call me little rose. That even though a look beautiful and sweet, I have thorns and can definitely be prickly..'.. She laughed and he smiled back.

'We are close?..'.. He asked, wondering who she was to him in the future.

'Yes, one of the few I could trust with my life. You actually played a part in me being here, you too, wanted me to come back..'.. She gestured to him.
