The soft glow of the desk lamp bathed Stiles' room in a warm, comforting light as I nestled beside him, our textbooks sprawled out before us. Stiles occasionally flickered his gaze in my direction, a faint flush coloring his cheeks whenever our eyes met. I couldn't help but wonder if he felt the same fluttering nerves that danced within me.

Amidst our diligent study session, my attention would often drift towards Stiles, admiring the furrow of his brow in concentration and the pursing of his lips in thought. There was an undeniable charm to his dedication, a determination that drew me in like a moth to a flame.

Yet, whenever I found myself lost in thought, I'd notice Stiles stealing glances my way. His eyes seemed to trace the delicate movements of my hands, the way I tucked a stray strand of hair behind my ear only for it to stubbornly return to its place. It was as though he found fascination in my every action, a silent testament to his admiration for my commitment and intellect.

The tension between us seemed to crackle in the air, palpable and electric. Stiles would occasionally shift in his seat, his movements slightly jittery, as if he were wrestling with something inside himself. And whenever our eyes met, I couldn't help but notice the faint flush that crept up his cheeks, mirroring the nervous energy coursing through my own veins.

"Hey Stiles." I started, my voice soft with concern as I began tugging at the skin on my hands.

Stiles' gaze flickered to mine, a fleeting expression of surprise crossing his features before he quickly composed himself. "Yeah, yeah, everything's fine," he replied, though his words seemed to lack conviction.

"It's just that I really like you, but I can't figure out how to tell you." He stated while tugging at his hair.

But then, in a moment of unguarded honesty, Stiles blurted out words that hung in the air between us like a delicate confession. "It's just that I really like you, but I can't figure out how to tell you," he confessed, his voice tinged with uncertainty as he tugged at his hair in frustration.

His words hit me like a gentle wave, washing over me with a mix of surprise and warmth. Did he just... admit to liking me? My heart skipped a beat as I processed his confession, a rush of affection swelling within me for the boy sitting across from me.
