Chapter 15

Arnav couldn't find her anywhere in the park, only one place was left and that was the terrace.
When he went to terrace, he saw her leaning on the raling looking at the sky above.

He went beside her and asked

"Hey...what are you doing here?"
"Oh Arnav...why are you here?"
" Tu bhul gayi, we are completing the school project today. "
"Sorry... I lost track of time."
" Btw you haven't answered my first question."
"I was just looking at the stars. You know I love stars because when you tell them something they won't judge you or tell to anyone."

Arnav looked at her for some time and then said

"You know the stars live in God's home!"

" What are you trying to tell arnav?"

"Do you know your name's meaning?"

"No, never tried knowing."

"Samara means 'protected by God'. And you know you are giving injustice to you name. If I would be protected by God then I would be the happiest boy. And look at you hamesa sadhi si sakal banake rehti hai."

Samara glared at him. Then became sad and said

" You really think God, the Almighty would have so much time to protect a girl like me."

Arnav's eyes softened at how insecure she is and that's the moment he was so sure that he would help her get over it. He said-

"Yeah you are right. But may be years after he realised his negligence in his duty. Soo...

He shifted a little closer and said in a soft voice

"... he sent one of those stars down here to the earth with the purpose of protecting only you."

She looked at him, who was already looking at her. He saw her brown, sad and innocent eyes which represented nothing but darkness. He imagined what would those eyes look when they sparkle with emotions like happiness, excitement, love, etc. She on other hand for first time in years felt something good in her life. She saw him glowing, he was looking like a ray of light which entered her dark life from the crack his words just created.

Soon Arnav's phone rang and it brought them back to the real world.

Samara looked away towards the sky again and Arnav took out his phone and received it without looking at the caller id.

"Hello... Yes.. Who's there??"

"...."

"Oh sorry bhai... Woh I didn't see the call when I received."

"..."

"Yeah I'll go down now..."

He hung up and looked at Samara who was looking up at sky again.

"Samara let's go down. Your maa was also looking for you and yes come for project completion.... Now it's 7.30 come by 8 we'll complete it."

"Okay."

Samara rang the bell and Dev opened it.

"Aree... You came early it's not dinner time yet!"

"Huh... Dinner? Umm... I came for project."

"Ohh.. So you don't know. Actually your family is coming over for dinner tonight, so I thought that's why you have arrived."

"Maybe they'll come later."
