Noah POV

Spring break was upon us. We spoke with our friends to find out what they were doing during this week. Many were thinking of going to Miami to spend time by the sea and in the warmth with friends. After thinking about it we said that instead of paying to hang out at the seaside, we could all go to LA to my parents' beach house. Lee's spring break didn't coincide with ours but he decided to come spend the first weekend of our spring break in Los Angeles.

Finally, Rebecca and Chris, Abby and Greg and Chloe came with us. We landed in LA on Friday at 8 :00pm and took an UBER to the beach house. My mother was there with my father waiting for us with a delicious meal. My mother seemed happy that the house was full of people again. My parents' fear was that after we left for college, we would no longer have time to come. But, not only did we still come there, but we also brought friends.

After dinner and the distribution of rooms, Elle and I were able to retire to my room (Elle's old room having been allocated to Chloe since she was the only single one). As soon as we closed the door to my room, Elle collapsed on the bed, taking a deep breath :

- It smells like home!" she said, closing her eyes.

These conversations about home have always tended to make me uncomfortable. Despite the 6 months we spent together in Boston and the upcoming wedding, I'm still afraid that Elle will tell me that she doesn't feel at home there and that she wants to return to LA.

- Nostalgia for home, Elle?" I asked her, going to lie down next to her.

- This house is the only place I can still call home, Noah! I no longer have a place in my father's house, I like your parents' house but it's still your house and the dormitory with Bethany is not really a home.

- It's true! I have difficulty remembering that unlike you, I still have one foot on the ground!

- I can't wait until we find an apartment in Boston, Noah! I'm starting to feel like I need my own space.

- I can't wait until we can do this together, Shelly. How about we stay in Boston for Easter weekend? It's close to the exams and we'll have time to find somewhere to live.

- It's really a good idea!" she said to me before rolling on top of me...

The next day, our day was spent settling in but also preparing the party for that evening. Some of our high school friends were also in LA for spring break so I planned to have a nice little party to introduce our friends from Boston and those from LA before our wedding this summer.

At the party, Lee was present with Ashton and his girlfriend who also brought a neighbor. Lee and Elle's high school friends Cam, Dixon, Warren, Ollie and Miles came. My old football teammates Jon Fletcher, Elliott and Tuppen also showed up. The OMGs begged Elle for an invitation having heard about our evening. With our friends from Boston, there were going to be around twenty people. Lee installed the lights and sound system. Chloe, Elle and I took care of the meal and the drinks. And with that, the party was ready.

The party was in full swing! Elle, Lee, Rebecca and Abby were on the dance floor while Chloe and I were busy cooking the hot-dog on the BBQ. It made me feel good to see Shelly so relaxed and having fun with her friends. She puts a lot of pressure on herself to do well at Harvard and I was hoping she could have a relaxing and fun spring break. I burst out laughing when Abby walked past Chloe and me and said while talking about OMG : They're real bitches, aren't they? She couldn't say it so well!
