✵⏤͟͟͞͞Chapter 21-A 'game' in the woods⏤͟͟͞͞✵

(3rd POV)
Dream and Nightmare exited their mother's dream, both were silent, now they got a feeling why their mother was so paranoid about their safety and judging from the description of who Bill saw in the 'mindscape', it was probably the same woman.

No wonder their mom reacted so violently when she met Daisy(Marcy) for the first time, now the question is...

Are they going to tell the others about this?

The answer? Absolutely 𝘯𝘰𝘵.

Like hell they'll tell the others about their mother's obviously painful memories, they'd rather drown in their respective weakness (negativity/positivity) than tell their mother's past-

"So, now you guys know."

Both Dreamtale twins looked towards the voice, only to see Liam leaning against the windowsill "You knew?" Dream asked, Liam looked at him like he was an idiot "Of course I know. I'm her brother. I've known her longer than all of you combined." Dream blushes in embarrassment "Oh...." Nightmare narrowed his eyes at Liam suspiciously "What are you even doing awake this late?"

Liam shrugs and jumps down the windowsill "I was out on my nightly 'expeditions'." (Aka. Stealing shit again-) He says as he gently placed down a sack on the ground, careful to not wake up the others and his sister "Now, enough about me. What do you plan on doing with the information?" Dream and Nightmare looked at him surprised, Liam raised a brow at them "What? You thought I didn't know about that little plan the others made you guys agree to?"

Dream looks, feeling guilty and ashamed "How'd you know...?" Liam shrugs again "Where do you think I go when I disappear? Obviously to keep an eye on the other skelly bastards so they don't do shit against my sister." Suddenly, his whole demeanor changed, he no longer looked laid back and uncaring and instead looked serious and his pupils narrowed into slits "Now...Let me ask again..."

His tail lashes out behind him, the sharp edges glinting dangerously in the moonlight "𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩. 𝙀𝙭𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙡𝙮. 𝘿𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣. 𝙊𝙣 𝙙𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜. 𝙒𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚. 𝙄𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣. 𝙔𝙤𝙪. 𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙙?" Dream and Nightmare were shocked at the usually laid back, opera-obsessed dramatic kid could change their demeanor in a snap.

......Actually...not so shocking considering the fact that every one of their siblings seems to be a 'little' two-faced- and judging from what Bill had told them about their other siblings, they're also quite...unstable...at least, some of them are.

Nightmare doesn't care if his other siblings are sane or not, as long as he can be with his mother. Dream on the other hand, doesn't know what to feel about that fact, but chose to accept it, he has long since dreamed of having a family and now that he has it, he won't care about anything else.

He has done his duty as a selfless positivity guardian for long enough, so it's only fair for him to be selfish. Just this once at least. He'll still do his duties in keeping the balance, and Dawn did promise to help him keep the balance stable as well....although he's not really sure how 'reliable' Dawn's help will be considering the toxicity of his positivity magic-

"𝙒𝙚𝙡𝙡? 𝘼𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙜𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙬𝙚𝙧? 𝙊𝙧 𝙣𝙤𝙩?" Both twins snapped out of their thoughts "We won't tell them anything." Dream explains, Liam glared at them in suspicion "𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘐 𝘣𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵?" Nightmare glared back at him "We're mom's kids as well, y'know? We won't do anything to harm our own mother." Liam scoffs "𝘖𝘩 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘩? 𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘦𝘸𝘴 𝘧𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘩 𝘣𝘶𝘥.
