Paige pov

three months later

"Paige," azzi says.

"this town," I say. "by Niall Horan."

"why is this what you're going to do to get her back?" she asks.

"i haven't talked to her in months. im not sure what else to do. she absolutely loves Gilmore girls," I tell her. "her favorite episode is when Lorelei says 'no he just stood outside my window playing in my eyes on a boombox all night' she loves it so much."

"and why do you want to play this town for her?" she asks.

"because it reminds me of her."

"do whatever you want," azzi says. "just don't have a restraining order requested against you."

it's now 8pm and im outside of Iris's apartment.

I wasn't able to find a boombox, so im using a small speaker.

I throw a rock at her window and get ready to start playing the song.

I see her window open and I hold up the speaker. I start the song.

"waking up to kiss you and nobody's there. the smell of your perfume still stuck in the air," the song sings.

"what are you doing?" Iris yells.

"im being luke!" I yell.

she holds in her smile before saying, "it's raining!"

I hadn't even realized. "oh," I yell. "yeah!"

"if the whole world was watching I'd still dance with you," the song says.

her window closes.

fuck.

I look down at the ground with tears in my eyes.

I start to pack up the stuff. I pause the music and start to walk away.

"wait!" I hear a voice yell behind me.

I turn around to see Iris running towards me.

she reaches me. "turn the music back on."

"why?" I ask.

"just do it."

I grab my phone and unpause the song.

"everything comes back to you," the song says.

the rain has become pretty heavy by now.

Iris grabs me by the jaw and kisses me. her lips move against mine. I tangle my hands into her wet hair.

I pull back and smile.

"do you want to come inside and talk?" she asks.

"yeah," I smile.

she opens the door to her bedroom and I walk inside and sit on the bed.

"um-" she leans against the wall.
