Paige pov

"I have emotional motion sickness, somebody roll the windows down. there are no words in the English language, that I can scream to drown you out," iris sings on stage.

Iris finishes the song. "for this next song, I would like to invite somebody onto the stage." she looks over at me and waves me on.

I shake my head but she keeps waving. I walk onto the stage and people scream.

"alright," Iris laughs.

people settle down. "HAVE MY BABIES!!" someone yells from the crowd.

"right now?" I joke.

the crowd laughs.

"why am I here?" I ask Iris.

"you'll see," she says.

"my last song of the night is a song that will always be my favorite," she announces.

the beginning of the song plays and i immediately know what it is.

she smiles at me. "and I'd give up forever to touch you, cuz I know that you'd feel me somehow. you're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be. and I don't wanna go home right now."

I smile at her.

she finishes the song.

I walk over to her and scoop her into a hug. the hug lasts for ten seconds before we pull back.

"my best friend everybody!" she says into the microphone.

we both laugh as the crowd cheers.

the next day

I walk into the sports psychologists office with Iris.

"hi," I say.

"hi Paige!" Lillian says.

"where's alice?" Iris asks.

"here!" Alice says, walking out of the conference room fiddling with her button up.

"why were you in there?" I ask.

"uh," she stutters.

"paige, we both know why they were in there," iris says.

same reason we were in there 11 months ago.

"freaky," I laugh.

"what do you need Paige?" Lillian asks.

"cant I come hang out with my beautiful fiancé," I kiss Iris.

"freaky," alice mocks.

"when are you two getting married?" Iris asks.

"next month," alice answers.

"next month?!" I exclaim.

"that's so soon!" Iris says.

"we're lesbians," alice shrugs.

"alright girls!" Geno yells. "rest up before our game tomorrow!"

I walk out of the gym and get changed in the locker room.
