ELLE

I sighed and let my shoulders slump. These girls knew me too well. They could sense when something was bothering me, even when I tried to hide it. I looked down at my hands and fidgeted with my napkin, unsure how to explain the situation. "We were arguing and it escalated into a big fight."

Olivia learned forward. "Elle, you just have to talk to him and sort things out."

"Yeah, you're right." I muttered. "But this fight was intense, and I said things I regret. I'm afraid he won't even want to talk to me anymore."

"No way. That boy likes you very much, Elle. I mean, he might even be in love with you and not even realize it himself. You've got to reach out to him." Grace said.

I raised an eyebrow, skeptical yet hopeful. "You really think so?"

"But what exactly happened between you two?"

I detailed the incident where a physical fight broke out between Liam and Cam, causing them to end up with visible bruises on them Their irresponsible behavior resulted in a two-day suspension, yet it was the sight of my brother's injured face that stirred up a wave of fury inside me. Fueled by anger, I quickly dialed Cam's number. Our discussion quickly turned into a heated argument. However, once the call ended, regret washed over me. My voice trembled as I opened up to them.

Olivia exchanged a glance with Grace, concern etched on their faces. Grace spoke up. "Elle, you need to go to his place, apologize to him, and make things right. You owe it to him."

Olivia chimed in. "I'll drive you there, Elle. But, we don't have his address."

My mind raced, searching for a solution until Grace's suggestion sparked an idea. "Remember that cheerleader friend I made during tryouts? She might know his address. Let me ask her."

Nerves fluttered in my stomach as Grace called her friend for his address. Minutes later, she turned towards us with a knowing grin. "I've got it. She gave me his address."

"Thank you, both of you. I don't know what I would do without you."

I gathered my belongings and we drove to Cam's house. I knew that this visit would be far from easy. But I also knew that I had to face the consequences of my harsh words.

As I reached Cam's place, my heart raced in my chest. Inhaling deeply, I raised my hand and softly tapped on the door. When the door swung open, Cam's expression shifted from surprise to shock upon spotting me, but I was taken aback by the sight of his bruised face. We held each other's gaze for a moment, but neither of us uttered a word. He gestured for me to enter.

The silence between us was suffocating as we stood awkwardly in his apartment. The door closed, leaving us alone together. We stood there, in the middle of the room, unable to break the silence. I took a deep breath, gathering my thoughts, before finally speaking up. "I'm sorry." I managed to whisper, my voice barely audible. "I was wrong. I blamed you for something that wasn't your fault."

He didn't respond immediately. His face remained impassive, making it difficult to read his emotions. It seemed as though he was wrestling with his own thoughts. Finally, he found his voice and asked. "How did you get my address?"

"From a friend." I replied, my voice still shaky. I paused for a moment, gathering my courage. "But that's not important right now. What's important is that I came here to apologize. To tell you I'm truly sorry."

He stayed quiet, staring at the ground. I kept speaking, feeling the gravity of the situation grow stronger. Tears filled my eyes as I expressed my desperate need for forgiveness. "Please, Cam, just hear me out. I understand that I hurt you, and I can't bear the idea of losing you because of my stupid mistake. I was angry and I took it out on you."
