Akshit approached Sid
Akshit: Hey
Sid: Hi bro. Where were you? I was looking for you and.......Avu
He took her name with a pause after confirming she was not with Akshit as well as he expected her to be. Akshit sighed.
Sid: Akshit....
Akshit: (cuts him) Sid she was kinds tired so she she did not attend the party
Sid: Akshit do you really believe I would by that lie. If there was something like that she would have left from office already with Hazel
Akshit: Ya but you know how Hazel was so excited to meet you. So she did not want to break her heart. Everything is fine. You just do not have to worry. You must also be tired. You came after a long flight. Then this party. You should head home. Your family must also be eagerly waiting bro. I will take Hazel to Avu
Sid frowned and shook his head. He handed over Hazel to Akshit.
Akshit: Ok then see you tomorrow I guess. Congrats once again
He gave a small smile and was about to give Sid a hug.
Sid: Everything is not alright Akshit. Something is definitely not right here. One thing I am sure of is that no matter how sick or tired Avu is, she would have at least come to meet me once when I came back after so long. She did not call me or talk to me all these days. And then she just disappears. I do not believe your tired excuse. That cannot be true at any cost. If she had left early today, II would have still believed. Either she is still angry over my date thingy or something has happened in my absence. But it is ok I guess if do not want or cannot tell me. No hard feelings. It's alright. See you tomorrow then.
He gave a fake lip-tight smile and walked away from them. Akshit shut his eyes tightly and sighed.
Akshit: Sid
He shouted from behind and Sid stopped in his tracks and turned around. Akshit quickly walked towards him with Hazel in his arms.
Akshit: No she is angry over you date thing. I swear I have cleared all that. You do not have worry about that
Sid: Then what is it?
Akshit wetted his lips with tongue before speaking further.
Akshit: For that I guess it is better you yourself talk to her and get your answers. All I can say is that she is confused and upset over something and that somewhere concerns you. But I am not in place to share anything with you. It is yours and Avi's conversation and you both have to do it. You guys only have to answer each other's questions. No one else can do that for the two of you. And the earlier this conversation takes place is better. That's all I can say
Sid thought for moment but then nodded. Akshit patted Sid's back.
Akshit: And do not worry. I trust my both best friends. Everything is gonna be completely fine
Sid: I also hope so
Akshit: And Sid you gotta confess your feelings to her as soon as possible
Sid: Akshit are you mad or what? She is upset about something, maybe mad at me for some xyz reason which I am not even aware of. She is not even talking to me. I doubt even she has any kind of such feelings for me. She had a break up from a very serious relationship a few months ago. Are you nuts? She might end up breaking friendship also with me and you are asking me to confess my feelings. Are you high or what?
Akshit: Ok just calm down first of all. Firstly I am not high over anything. And secondly our relationship was a past. Break up ho gya na. Yes it was very serious or special but it was in past. We have moved on from it. You do not have about it and bring it up everytime
Sid: I am sorry bro
Akshit: It's ok. And about her being upset. The reason for that and your confession is somewhere related. Till the time you will not address your feelings and let her know how exactly you feel for her, you will not know what is wrong with her or how to help her out. So talk to her. Let her kn ow your feelings
Sid was confused but anyways agreed.
Akshit: And Sid remember one thing. I have said earlier also again I am repeating this although we had a break up, she still means a lot to me. She is my best friend, we have something that is much more important and beautiful than a relationship. I trust you but still do not ever hurt or you will see my worst side which I am myself not aware of. I hope that is very clear. And as much as I want her to know about your feelings, be very clear about it and till you are not, do not take any step. Take as much time as you want but be sure of never hurting her
Sid: I promise you
Akshit gave a curt nod.
Akshit: Good then
Just then his phone rang.
Akshit: Oh shit
Sid: What is wrong?
Akshit: It is Avi. I forgot she is waiting. I should leave
Sid: Ok bye. Then see ya tomorrow
They gave each other a hug and left. Akshit gave Hazel to Avu. Sid also went home confused with his thoughts. His family welcomed him. He enjoyed his time with them forgetting his problems for sometime. But he felt Zalak was being a bit distant from him.
