The headquarters buzzed with activity as operatives prepared to deploy to the location where Danielle and Haerin were held captive. Agents geared up, weapons checked, and vehicles were readied for immediate departure.

In the midst of the organized chaos, Min Heejin stood at the center of the operations room, her expression grave as she oversaw the preparations. Every moment was crucial, and she knew that time was of the essence.

Just as the team was about to embark on their mission, a message flashed across the screen, halting them in their tracks.

Min Heejin's brow furrowed in concern as she read the broken message flashing across the screen. "Not safe," she murmured, her voice laced with worry. "Stay back. We'll find a way out."

The words hung in the air, the gravity of the situation sinking in as the team exchanged concerned glances.

“Fuck…”

Earlier

In the dimly lit room, Danielle and Haerin cautiously made their way through the labyrinth of corridors, their senses on high alert. The tension in the air was palpable as they moved silently, each step bringing them closer to their escape.

Suddenly, they rounded a corner and came face to face with Wonyoung, her presence commanding and threatening. She stood tall, clad in black leggings and a crisp white turtleneck shirt, a military knife glinting in her hand.

Haerin's heart skipped a beat as she locked eyes with Wonyoung, her muscles tensing instinctively. She knew they were no match for Wonyoung's strength and ruthlessness, but they had come too far to turn back now.

Danielle, standing by Haerin's side, couldn't help but feel a surge of adrenaline at the sight of Wonyoung.

"How did you find us?" she demanded, her voice sharp with suspicion. "And what do you want?"

"What I want," Wonyoung began, her voice dripping with malice, "is for you to kneel before me and beg for me to save you."

Haerin's jaw clenched, her fists tightening at her sides as she resisted the urge to lash out. "We don't need your help," she spat, her voice cold and defiant. "We'll find our own way out of here."

But Wonyoung merely chuckled, the sound sending shivers down Danielle's spine. "Oh, I highly doubt that," she sneered, taking a step closer. "You're trapped in my domain now, and I intend to have a little fun while you're rotting in here like rats.“

Wonyoung's words cut through the air like a knife, each one more venomous than the last. Danielle felt a surge of anger bubbling up inside her, but she forced herself to remain composed, refusing to let Wonyoung see how much her words affected her.

"Wonyoung, enough with the nonsense," Danielle snapped, her voice firm as she met Wonyoung's gaze with determination. "We're not here to rehash the past. We need to focus on getting out of here, so either help us or get out of our way."

Wonyoung merely smirked, her eyes flickering with amusement. "Oh, but it is my business," she taunted, her voice dripping with disdain. "After all, I was the one you left behind, wasn't I? I was the one you betrayed."

Danielle's breath caught in her throat, a wave of guilt washing over her at Wonyoung's words. It was true—they had been lovers once, until Danielle had walked away without a second thought.

But she refused to let Wonyoung see her weakness. Straightening her spine, Danielle met Wonyoung's gaze head-on, her eyes flashing with defiance.

"I don't owe you anything," she declared, her voice unwavering. "And I won't beg for your forgiveness."
