Trying To Make Amends

You point out that, if Malaysia is so close with the other two personifications, then it would probably be a good idea to make up, and that giving the Merlion back might be one way to do that.

"It's weird, because I think there've been more arguments than usual recently." Malaysia says on the way to Indonesia's domain, "Like, Austria, I talk to them a fair bit for trade, you know electronics and stuff, and they say things have been really tense for their lot as well, even amongst personifications who normally get along."

The two of you reach Indonesia's domain. The place is an archipelago of little islands. You spot a komodo dragon, basking in the warm air on one and another Milo truck on another. You could probably jump between the gaps between the islands, if you tried hard enough, which is good, as you'd rather not get your shoes wet.

The Merlion is floating in between Indonesia and the exit of his domain. It's a large white lion with a fish tail instead of a body, that is clearly not bound by the laws of gravity, as it hovers over the water. Indonesia is poking at it with a badminton racket, in an attempt to convince it to leave peacefully.

He looks over at Malaysia when she enters.

"Oh, so setting this thing on me wasn't enough, huh?" He snaps at her.

"I was just coming to help!" Malaysia's mood instantly turns sour. "But I guess you don't need my help, do you?"

"Oh, your help, what, like the roundabout incident?" Indonesia pokes the merlion again, it sort of squishes like a stuffed animal.

"That wasn't my fault! Don't hurt it!" Malaysia says, "If it gets hurt, Central Region will be angry and you know how Singa feels about us pissing her off."

"I know, That's why I'm using a racket!" Indonesia glowers at her "Besides, Central is going to be mad at you for, you know, kidnapping her pet."

The Merlion, either taking offence at being called a pet, or just being plain bored, bared it's teeth. They're surprisingly sharp for something that really did look like a cuddly toy. It growls and you remember that, yes, this thing is a lion.

"Well go on then, I guess you just have all the answers!" Malaysia seems to have forgotten the entire reason she'd come here.

"Well, I sort of have to, given that you insist on creating problems!" Indonesia seems to have forgotten about the Merlion, despite the fact that it looked like it was deciding on whether to eat him or not.

The Merlion rears up, Indonesia now fully distracted with his argument with Malaysia.
