Molly and Minho made it back before the doors closed. Just barely.

"You were slow today," Newt said.

Minho nodded, sweat dripping down his neck, "Sorry Newt. It's my fault."

"I was a little tired today," Molly stated.

"We don't want anyone endangering themselves! If you can't run, don't," Newt snapped.

"Newt!" I reprimanded. "That's enough!"

Molly looked slightly hurt.

"What's your problem man?" Minho pushed Newt. Newt shoved him back.

I grabbed Newts arm and pulled him away, "Our hut. Now."

I stalked across the glade to our hut in the cove in the woods. I went inside and sat on the bed. Newt came in and slammed his harness down on the table.

"Those are our friends Newt!" I snapped.

"If they hadn't made it back they would still be out there!" He motioned with his hand. I heard the grinding of the doors closing for the night.

"Okay yes, they were late but you didn't need to come down on them so hard! They're our ticket out of here."

"We need to continue on as usual. Rules still need to be kept and Molly broke a rule! Be back an hour before the maze doors close, not ten minutes."

"You're starting to sound like Gally! Okay? Nothing is usual anymore Newt! Everything is gonna change!" The tears came when I thought about the baby we would be welcoming into the world less than a year from now. I wiped them away and took a deep breath.

"I'm sorry. I should have been more patient with Minho and Molly. It's just, I'm stressed. I'm trying to keep everything together like Alby has and I'm watching it crumble," He said and rubbed the back of his neck.

"And you're doing a great job. You are. We would be sunk without you. But maybe Newt, maybe things need to collapse," I walked over and grabbed his hands. "I know it's hard. But In all honesty, I think these days are important. I think Thomas is here to help us get out."

Newt sat down at the table, "You think so? Really?"

"Yes Newt, I do. He accomplished in three days what we couldn't in three years."

"How do we know we can trust him?"

"We don't. But so far he hasn't been wrong. I don't know. There's just something about him. I think we need to join his side."

"Are you planning a war?"

"No. Just gut feelings. I don't trust Teresa," I admitted.

"Neither do I," Newt replied. "I don't think she's what she says she is. She seems."

"Fake?" I asked.

"Yeah." Newt kissed my hands. "I'm sorry I got a little harsh earlier. I don't want to fight with you."

"I forgive you. I'm sorry too," I smiled. "I think we're all just going through some stuff right now."

Newt held my hand across the table, "Are we good?"

"We're good," I chuckled.

"And man, I think that was the worst argument we've had yet."

"Completed another milestone."

Newt went to check how Thomas was doing with Minho. I kissed him before he left and watched him walk away.

"How am I going to tell him about you?" I put a hand on my stomach and gently rubbed it with my thumb.
