Maisie had training and as always she was completely full of energy.
"Hey," she said excitedly, rushing to her friends and chucking her water bottle down.
"Hey," Jess said in response, just as excited.
The six of them started a super loud conversation until Darren called their attention in.
She was a bit too bouncy to listen so Joe chucked her the tennis ball and she moved it around in her hands, successfully making her focus.
He explained the drill and then they were off. Since starting boxing, Maisie's fitness had improved and it was really helping her football. She was just going from strength to strength and her coaches were impressed.
Her goal count was also stacking up and she was on track for winning their league's golden boot trophy.
They got into the match at the end and her and Harriet had been put on the same team. Since the whole incident, Harriet had been really awkward around Maisie. She was clearly embarrassed about the whole thing but Maisie just ignored this and was nice to her anyway; she felt really bad for her.
They kicked off the game and after 30 seconds Maisie scored. She'd megsed Lylah in the build up to scoring and made sure to rub it in.
"LOL!" she shouted right in her ear as she ran past.
"Shut up," Lylah laughed.
The game continued and Maisie and Harriet were working well together. They moved the ball well between them and despite Harriet not saying a single word, she always found Maisie in the right place.
Training came to an end and Maisie was super hyper. She ran out to the car where Keira was waiting for her.
"How was training?"
"Good. We played a match and I scored five goals. Also I megsed Lylah like ten times and she was fuming," she replied.
"Sounds like fun."
Maisie waffled the whole way home, filling her sister in and also winding her up like she always did.
Keira loved how happy she was but she also knew that they needed to somehow get her calm otherwise the evening would be a challenge.
They didn't manage to bring her energy down and she was running round the house squealing as Narla chased her.
"Careful," Lucy warned as she once more almost slid over.
"I'm very careful," she said before continuing her run.
"How on earth are we going to deal with this?" Keira asked.
"I have no idea."
"Let's just try and get her upstairs."
"Come on Mais. Time to head up," Lucy called through.
"I don't want to," she replied, still giggling.
"Come on. Listen to Lucy," Keira said.
"Noooo. If you want me to come up, you'll have to catch me," she said, poking her head round the door.
Lucy looked to Keira before the pair leapt up, running after the teenager. Sometimes it was best to just match her energy.
Her squealing was taken up to an even higher level as she had the two of them following behind her.
Soon enough, Keira had caught her and was poking her in the ribs, making her laugh.
"Right come on then, upstairs," she said. She still had her arms wrapped around her sister and she walked her to the stairs.
