As usual, they were super chatty as they ate lunch and then they just hung out for the afternoon.
"Can we play football?" Maisie asked.
"You just had a match," Keira laughed.
"Yeah but I wanna play."
"Go on then."
Maisie, Keira and Lucy all headed over to the common and started up a game. They had a lot of fun and, as always, enjoyed each other's company.
Tracy was sat by the window and watched them play. All three of them were in constant fits of laughter and it was adorable.
After a little while they came inside and grabbed some stuff to eat.
Peter had been sorting the garage out, now a much easier task without Maisie, but he came in to have a cup of tea.
"Look what I found buried in there," he said, lifting up the tent bag.
"I thought we got rid of that after our one failed camping attempt," Tracy said.
"Oh my God what an awful trip," Keira laughed.
"Hey I really enjoyed it," Maisie said.
"You stole a sheep from a neighbouring field and brought it into the tent in the middle of the night," Tracy said.
"I just wanted a pet."
"And that was after you'd almost killed me by pushing me towards the fire," Keira said.
"Yeah thank God I had quick reflexes and managed to catch you," Peter said.
"I mean whoever decided to let me near an open fire was just stupid."
They discussed that trip for a while longer before Peter went back to clear the rest of the garage.
"Right what should I do with the tent?" he asked.
"We can sell it," Tracy said.
An idea suddenly popped into Maisie's head.
"Please can we sleep in it tonight? Like in the garden. We could have a sleepover outside! It would be so much fun."
"I dunno mush," Keira said, "I don't really fancy sleeping on the floor."
"Please," she begged, "I'll never annoy you again."
"Well that's not going to happen."
"Just please do it. I really want to."
"Go on then," Keira said.
"Yes!"
That evening they had dinner and then began putting the tent up so that Maisie, Keira and Lucy could all sleep in it.
"Ooo I'm going to get my head torch!" Maisie said, sprinting off inside. She was meant to be helping with the tent but she wasn't following any instructions so they made some headway whilst she was inside.
She returned with it on her head and Keira began to laugh.
"You look like such a knob."
In response to that Maisie turned it on, almost blinding Keira.
"Ah you're so annoying."
"Don't disrespect the headtorch," she said seriously.
Finally they got the tent up with everything in it and Peter and Tracy said goodnight to them before heading inside.
"Be safe and don't do anything silly," Tracy said.
"Ah but I've already got the sheep waiting at the end of the garden," Maisie joked.
