Why did you do that?

The past week had not gone well. Maisie had stopped taking her meds all together as they weren't working. She was extremely difficult to handle and Keira and Lucy had been shouted and sworn at more times than they could count.

It was exhausting but they'd both do anything for the teenager and they persisted with everything to try and get her back on track.

Miss Bisham had been working beyond hard to keep her in school and had spent a lot of time talking her out of angry and hyper behaviour.

Today the Man City girls were playing United. They had a fierce rivalry and it was more than just a regular game.

Since their poor start, the girls had picked up and a win today would take them up to second. Maisie had been scoring goal after goal over the past few games and her coaches were very impressed.

She said goodbye to Keira and Lucy and ran over to her teammates.

"I hope she has a good game," Keira said.

"Me too. She needs it after this week."

The pair were talking when a familiar voice met their ears.

"Keira! Lucy!"

"Hi Ella," Lucy said as she came to join them.

"Come down to watch our sisters battle it out?" Ella asked.

"Yep," Keira replied, "How's Erin doing?"

"Good. She's good."

The City girls were stretching out and sizing up their opposition.

"Look who it is," Kyah said, nodding over to one particular player.

Erin Toone. Her and Maisie had never got on. They'd played against each other for years and neither of them liked each other. Even when they'd been introduced off the pitch by their sisters, they didn't get on. Maisie found Erin way too snobbish and Erin found Maisie too hyper.

Erin wasn't looking over at the City team until someone pointed them out.

"They're all staring at you."

"Good."

"Oh my God it's that girl who stomped on me last time," Orla, one of the United girls, said as she looked at Maisie.

"Let's get her back this game," Erin said.

The match kicked off and it was physical right from the get-go. Erin had been told by her coaches to get in Maisie's head and so she was. She would barge into her every once in a while, even when the ball wasn't near them.

"What was that?" Erin said into her ear as Maisie made a bad pass.

"Shut up."

Maisie caught onto her behaviour and began returning the shit-housery.

It was getting super feisty as time went on and despite Maisie trying to block out everything Erin was doing, it was hard and she wasn't playing her best.

"Messed that one up," Erin said as Maisie sent it rocketing over the cross bar. She scowled at her before running off to reset.

Darren and Joe could tell that the teenager was getting worked up and decided it was best to give her a break for a little bit.

They called her name and she turned to walk off.

"Ooo are they taking you off?" Erin said, mockingly, "I suppose they don't want a liability on their team to ruin it. You are pretty shit."

Something inside Maisie snapped. She got that like sometimes. Everything went red and it was as if a demon had exploded inside of her.

"Shut up," she spat, turning back to look at her.
