Talulahh's POV

Today was the day Hiccup was supposed to kill a dragon. I dreaded it, so much so, I barely got any sleep.

I woke up and got dressed. I also did my hair in two, long French braids. I could tell that I looked a little sleep deprived, but it wasn't bad.

Hiccup had to get down to the arena early to prepare, so he was already there.

I walked to my destination alone. I thought of last night, something had changed between Astrid and I.

I hoped she would talk to me after we kissed.

Before I knew it, I had arrived at the arena. I saw Hiccup and Astrid there.

"Hey, guys." I said. They both jumped.

"How do you do that?"

"Don't sneak up on us!"

I laughed and looked up to see Astrid smiling at me.  I quickly turned to my father. "Well, I can show my face in public again." I frowned.

He shushed the laughing crowd, "If someone had told me that in a few short weeks Hiccup could go from being, well, being, uh, Hiccup to placing first in dragon training. Well, I would've tied em' to a mass an' shipped em' off for having gone mad. "

The crowd of Berkians cheered and laughed. I only frowned more. "But, here we are. No one's more surprised, or more proud, than I am"

I saw Hiccup look down after listening to our father's words. I felt bad for him, but I was also worried he was gonna get himself killed.

The chief continued, "Today, my boy becomes a Viking. Today, he becomes one of us!" He cheered.

"Be careful with that dragon." I warned.

"It's not the dragon I'm worried about. " He replied.

"What are you gonna do? " Astrid asked.

"Put an end to this. I have to try," Hiccup answered. "Astrid, Talulahh, if anything goes wrong make sure no one finds Toothless and Sapphire."

"We will." Astrid promised.

"But nothing will go wrong, right?" I asked l, worry in my voice.

I heard another voice, "it's time, Hiccup." Gobber said. With that, my brother entered the ring.

As I watched, I knew my face was scrunched up with anxiety by the way Astrid was sympathetically looking at me.

She grabbed my hand, intertwining her fingers in mine. I gave a small smile in appreciation before turning back to look at Hiccup.

The crowd was shouting his name as he walked up to the weapons stand. He chose a small dagger. I wonder what he's planning.

The door burst open, a flaming Monstrous Nightmare came out. I was subconsciously holding my breath.

"Breathe, Lula." Astrid reminded me.

"Oh, yeah."

The Nightmare crawled across the wall a blew a big breathe of fire into the crowd. All of the Vikings dodged.

The flaming dragons got back on the ground and faced Hiccup, my grip and Astrid's hand tightened.

The Nightmare slowly approach him, Hiccup dropped his shield and dagger. He started speaking calmly to the dragon.

Hiccup took off his helmet and threw it to the side, "I'm not one of them."

Everyone gasped and whispered. "Stop the right." My father ordered.
