14. A-Team

Season 2 yalllllllll. I can't believe I've written this much of this book. I couldn't have done it without you beautiful people. <33

I had been sleeping while Astrid and Hiccup were out on patrol. Apparently I wasn't invited to the party because everyone else was awake and they ALL burst into my hut.

"Talulahh!"

"Wake up!"

"Hurry!"

I jolted up. "What? What is it?"

"We just got a terror mail from Berk. We need to leave. Now." Hiccup explained. I quickly put my armor on.

We arrived at Berk to see many huts smoking. "Kids! I'm glad you're here." Stoick flew up to us on Skullcrusher.

"Who did this? Dagur?" Hiccup asked, I could practically hear the clench in his jaw.

Our father nodded. "It was a hit-and-run attack. Catapults and volleys of fire arrows. Hit a few buildings in town." Stoick explained. "Astrid, on of them was your partent's house. You should probably head over to..." Before he could finish she was already speeding off.

"Can you go check on her, Tu?" My father looked at me. "Yeah." I nod, feeling horrible for my girlfriend.

"How are they?" I asked as I landed. Slipping off my saddle, I walk up to Astrid.

"They're fine. They were at the yak races." She answered. "But..." She motioned to her childhood home.

"I'm so sorry." I said, stepping closer.

"It's not worth dwelling on." Astrid told me.

I looked at her with furrowed brows. "Come here." I opened my arms for a hug. She looked hesitatant so I walked closer and wrapped her in my embrace.

She melted into my touch. My heart swelled at the thought that I was the one that could comfort her during hard times.

"We have work to do." She backed away.

"Yep!" I smiled cheerfully, clapping my hands together. I walked off, adding a bounce to each of my steps. I could hear Astrid laugh at me from behind, making me smile.

We arrived at the arena. "Astrid!" Hiccup called. "How's your family?"

"They're okay. Their house, the house I grew up in, is gone." The blonde looked down.

Snotlout walked up next to her. "Astrid, if you need a shoulder to cry on-" Before he could finish his sentence Astrid had already picked him up an started spinning before throwing him across the arena.

"Pain." Snotlout murmured, sounding strained.

Astrid walked up to him and kneeled down. "Thanks, Snotlout, I really needed that." Sh heldout her hand. He grabbed it and stood up, "You're welcomed." He grunted. "I know my role."

"Listen up, everyone." Hiccup ignored the two's antics. "Dagur was last seen fleeing due North. By my calculations, he could be heading out of the archipelago."

"So, we're going back to Dragon's Edge first thing tomorrow. We'll use that as our base to search for him." Hiccup continued. "Just go back to your houses, get a good night's sleep."

"Where are you gonna stay?" I turned to Astrid.

"I figured Stormfly and I would just bunk down here." The blonde answered.

"Can I stay too?" I asked.

"Why? You have a warm bed and house." Astrid reasoned.

"Yeah, well, I like it you. Sooooo..."
