40. Impulsive Descisions

Talulahh's POV:

"Hiccup." I whispered, shaking the boy from his sleep.

"Tu?" He muttered, squinting up at me. "What do you want?"

"Let's go to Berk."  I said enthausiastically.

"Why do you want to go to Berk? And why do you have so much energy? It's the middle of the night, Talulahh." Hiccup tried to knock some sense into me.

"So? I have an idea." I smiled.

"What is your idea?" He sat up with a sigh.

"Let's get tattoos." I grinned.

"What? Of what?" Hiccup asked, surprised.

"Of our girlfriends' names. You get Dahlia's, I get Astrid's." I nodded happily.

"That's a big descision, Tu." Hiccup said.

"Yes, well, I know that I love Astrid and that I'm totally and utterly in love with her. And I know that I'd spend the rest of my life loving her, even if she didn't love me back. So, I'm sure I want to get this tattoo."  I explained.

"Well, I feel the same way about Dahlia." Hiccup said, contemplating the idea.

"Please? Imagine the look on Dahlia's face. Please? And I don't want to go alone." I begged.

"Okay." Hiccup agreed. "Only if..."

"Anything." My eyes lit up.

"We get matching tattoos another times. I mean, if I'm gonna get a tattoo of my commitment to one girl in my life, I'd better get a tattoo for my commitment to the other girl. AKA you. I had to make sure you knew, 'cause you can be a little stupid sometimes." Hiccup explained.

"I'm not that stupid. And deal. Let's go!" I skipped towards the door.

"Not so fast." Hiccup grabbed my arm and pulled me back. "We have to leave a note for the others to know where we've gone."

"True." I shrugged. I watched as Hiccup grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil.

We went to Berk. We'll be back in a few days. Don't worry, we're fine.

He signed the note and left it on the table in the clubhouse. "Okay, let's go, now!" I grinned.

"What prompted this idea?" Hiccup asked as we climbed onto our saddles and took off.

"Well, I couldn't sleep because for some reason I had a lot of energy." I started.

"You still do." Hiccup muttered.

I continued, "Then I started thinking, what's a better sibling bonding activity than getting our first tattoo together? Then, I started thinking, what would he tattoo be of? And then it hit me!" I exclaimed, laying back dramatically as if I'd been hit.

"Well, that's definitaly...interesting." Hiccup nodded with furrowed brows.

After hours of flying, the sun came up. Then, we finally made it to Berk. "What brings you two home?" Stoick walked up as we slipped off our saddles.

I smiled and scrunched my nose in excitement. "Talulahh convinced me to get a tattoo with her." Hiccup explained.

"Really?" The man raised his eyebrows. "What are you getting?"

"I'm getting Astrid's name and he's getting Dahlia's, if he doesn't back out." I answered.

"I won't back out." Hiccup shot back.
