—being the only available special-grade sorcerer at the moment, it wasn't easy being tasked with missions that require immediate attention every now and then. it also meant that the gojo siblings — satoru and sayuri were pilled with multiple schedule of missions.
walking down the training grounds to see his students training for the upcoming exchange event, satoru smirked to himself — he may not have been exactly good at improving some of his students' academic performance, but they surely succeeded when it comes to combat.
two... four... his students were supposed to be six. sayuri was missing.
satoru frowned. just because he gets to joke around sayuri again doesn't mean that they were okay — they were far from it.
(last week)
"sayu, i bought dinner for us!" gojo satoru called sayuri from her dorm room. he opened the door since he was used to barging in whenever sayuri's door was unlocked — it was a sibling rule. door's locked: meaning that satoru was not supposed to come in. door's unlocked: meaning that satoru's welcome to come in.
looking up from her report — a grade 1 curse that she killed this morning, sayuri's lips were in a flat line. "i already ate. nanamin brought me food." she dryly answers.
she didn't want to be an asshole to her brother forever, but she found it difficult that this man that she trusted was able to lie to her perfectly every single day for two weeks. she trusted him the most, and yet he still managed to do that to her.
she will forgive him, just not now when she's still hurting.
"you sure?" satoru asked, dejected when nanami beat him to bringing sayuri some food. "it's chicken teriyaki, your favorite." he pursues, shaking the paper bag.
"i'm sure, satoru." she answers quickly. not giving it enough time to think. "please close the door on your way out." she instructs before looking back to her own papers, proceeding to write and tap on her laptop.
she avoided him so fast that sayuri never got to see how satoru frowned openly. "oh, okay..." he mutters. "i guess i'll eat this." he whispers to himself as he closed the door as to her wishes.
satoru wasn't even half-finished with the teriyaki chicken bowl when all his appetite went away. he sat in his office, regretful how their relationship went downhill all because he lied to her.
he just wanted his sister back.
(back to present)
"oh—" kugisaki nobara pointed at someone. "gojo-sensei!" she said, the other students took that as a signal to greet their teacher.
