—"she's not participating."

inside a secluded room that they were forced to go in, shoko ieiri glares at the shoji that serves as a barrier to cover the higher-ups identity. she was the only one who can attend the emergency meeting.

correction, she and sayuri were supposed to be questioned by the higher-ups, and yet shoko decided to leave the kid.

right now, she was defending sayuri—standing her ground at how she doesn't want the higher-ups to force the only gojo to kill every single one of the curses in shibuya.

sayuri had the ability to do so, but shoko would not let them treat sayuri like a weapon that they could use anytime.

even if sayuri wanted to do it to save everyone's time, shoko and yaga advised her not to since she's still new to using her six eyes. right now, sayuri is deemed to be the strongest sorcerer, taking her brother's position—everyone's hope to bring gojo satoru back.

even if she's all that, shoko wanted to tell everyone that sayuri's still human.

and if satoru was there, shoko knew that he would be close to killing everyone who planned on using sayuri.

"and who are you to decide that?" one of the elders sneered. they were not fond of how she already denied the fact that her colleague, gojo satoru was involved with geto suguru's appearance. they were not fond of how she denied that it wasn't geto suguru's but someone else controlling his corpse.

in the eyes of the higher-ups, all her words were lies.

"i'm the closest person sayuri has as a guardian. that's who i am to decide that she isn't going to shibuya if she's not mentally well." shoko just snapped. she was used to being laidback and relaxed—not caring about an issue or an argument, but when it involved sayuri's wellbeing, something just snapped in her.

the flames that lit the secluded room flared up—its embers being the elders anger. "it's the least she could do! she should be grateful how we aren't punishing her in her brother's stead!"

that was shoko's last straw. she stood up, her knuckles turned white at how she tightly closed her fist. the gods must've made her a reverse cursed technique user to heal people, because if she had the ability to harm—shoko was sure that these elders would've been dead at the moment.

despite their shouts of making shoko stay, that they weren't done talking yet, she proceeds to walk out even if it was deemed disrespectful.

she sighed when she entered the car. shoko may not be  related to sayuri, but she was willing to sacrifice even her occupation to prevent the kid from carrying the weight of the responsibility of being the strongest.
