𝟬𝟰𝟮 𝗉𝖾𝗋𝗌𝗂𝗌𝗍𝖺𝗇𝗍 𝖼𝗈𝗆𝗉𝗅𝖾𝗑

┊𖤐₊˚. ࿐ྂ。The following day had arrived sooner than anyone had expected. It had been the first day of a new curriculum for the Beta students. While they would only be here for two weeks, the five of them were taking classes with the freshmen. They had Potionology, Metamorphosis and Magiphilosophy with the Beta students.
The freshmen weren't all that objective the first time around but when they realised how good they were in most subjects the animosity began.
The freshmen couldn't stand that the Beta students were picking up faster in class than they ever did.

The day went by smoothly with not much interaction with them. They came to their last class of the day which was Flying with Professor Vidya Gudwig who had asked everyone to join her in thr auditorium. It was unusual since they would use the field out back for their lessons. But the moments the gurls and two boys entered they realised what they'd be doing.

Vidya had set up an obstacle course for them. It was the first class of the week and they were already doing an obstacle course. Most of the second years and seniors had told them the moment Professor Gudwig brings out her obstacle course they should be scareds shitless. By the state of it, Bloom kind of understood what they meant.

Professor Vidya and Palladium had both entered the auditorium. Everyone was confused as to why Palladium was here, but they realised why when Vidya spoke up, “This test is a way for those who didn't do so well on your midterms to score a few extra marks. But it's also to test the abilities and skills of the students who had gotten their winx.” Vidya gestured to the two girls who were standing to the side.

Rose smirked, as she gave Stella a stink eye. The blonde smiled sarcastically, holding up her middle finger at the girl. Rose frowned since she didn't understand what that meant. Bloom smacked the girl's hand down when she saw it. Bloom now kind of regretted teaching Stella that.

“I know there's a few of you who desperately need these extra marks,” Professor Vidya said looking at her students. Stella grumbled under her breath about how the woman was putting them on the spot in front of the Beta students.

The woman was right. Most of them didn't do as well in some subjects. Like Bloom did okay in her Flying mid-term but she could have done better. Stella needed extra credit for Magical reality and Musa needed some for Potionology. Flora and Tecna were probably the only ones who passed with flying colours.

“As you all can see in front of you, Professor Palladium and I have put together an obstacle course,” Vidya explained, clapping her hands. The redhead fairy didn't know what she expected the obstacle course to look like but it definitely wasn't this. She excepted actual obstacle courses like they had on Earth but there was nothing there. On the one side of the room stood a pedastal and on the other side of the room, a small flame was encased in a protective bubble.

“Your goal is to get the flame in that air bubble to the pedestal within five minutes without breaking the air bubble and without getting hit by any of the obstacles in your way.”

That seemed easy enough to do.

“The catch is that once the air bubble leaves pedastal the bubble will disappear so it's your duty to keep the air bubble around the flame using your magic. You only get three chances.”

“Wasn't that going to be a bit difficult?” Musa questioned. Bloom nodded in response because it was going to be hard. That was going to be a lot of concentration.

“Who would like to go first?” Vidya looked at the students who were all avoiding eye contact with her. It seemed no one wanted to go first.

“Bloom, would you like to go first?”  
Vidya asked the redhead who had been trying hard to not make eye contact with her. The girl hadn't wanted to be first but she knew the woman wasn't asking, she was telling. With a grim smile Bloom stood and went to stand in the centre of the room, shifting into her fairy form. Her gaze fell on the group of Beta students who were watching her. She made eye contact with Eren who surprisingly gave her a small smile of encouragement.
