While the other girls were resting up in their rooms, Musa was still stuck in the infirmary. Ofelia wanted to monitor her a while longer making sure everything was in order. While Musa didn’t mind staying, she was bored out of her mind. The other girls visited her, with Ofelia's permission but most of the time she was lonely. Musa had gotten used to having the four girls at her side, that being away from them for only a few days felt weird.
She did have her music to keep her busy but that was about it. The only upside about her staying in the infirmary was no class but unfortunately for her, that didn’t mean no homework. Flora and Stella who were given the permission to go to class brought Musa, Bloom and Tecna’s homework to them.
Musa was busy with the homework she had gotten from Flora on Magic Reality when the door opened. Music was blasting loudly in her ears that the girl didn’t even notice the person stepping inside the room. The young man smiled when he saw the girl, with a pen between her teeth while she had a confused look on her face. He could hear the music playing through her headphones from where he stood.
The music fairy sighed, leaning her head back just for her to catch sight of Kilan. Her eyes widened and she pushed the headphones off her ears. “Kilan, hey.”
“Can I come in?” he questioned and he closed his eyes which caused Musa to chuckle. “You're already inside but sure you can,” Musa said with a smile. She pushed the books down to the foot of her bed as she glanced around. She was alone in the infirmary, the healer wasn’t in so she was the only one here.
Kilan slowly walked closer to the girl's bed. “I had noticed that you love music so I brought you some headphones but I now realise that you have your own,” Kilan said, chuckling to himself as he held up the headphones which caused Musa to laugh, holding hers up as well.
“Yeah, Bloom brought them for me this morning,” Musa said and the boy smiled. He gestured to the chair at the side of the bed asking if he could sit and she nodded.
“I wanted to come visit, check in to see how you are but I didn't think your friends would want to see my face. Especially not Stella,” Kilan said and Musa hummed, agreeing. While it was only Stella who despised the Beta students out of all of them, the others wouldn't go out of their way to interact with them.
Musa had been the same but she hadn't talked with one until she met Kilan. Her interaction with him was not at all what she expected it to be. Maybe everything she thought she knew about them wasn't true at all.
“Yeah, I'm sorry.”
“No, it's fine. It's kind of expected since I hang around the people she hates,” Kilan said and Musa tilted her head. “You're actually not what I expected you to be like.”
“What did you expect me to be like?”
Musa shrugged. “I don't know actually. More like Rose.”
Kilan laughed, shaking his head. “Yeah, I'm nothing like her. There's actually a lot of students at Beta who are like me. They mind their business.”
Musa could only guess. “Maybe I shouldn't have judged you so quickly,” Musa told him. Kilan shook his head as if to tell her that he wasn't offended by it. Him hanging around the wrong crowd would cause that.
“As long as you realise now that I'm not like that at all.”
“I've come to realise that you're. . .pretty cool.”
Kilan smiled, “That means a lot coming from you.” Musa blushed, glancing down so she’d avoid looking into his eyes. The boy sensed the change in mood and decided to change the subject.
