┊𖤐₊˚. ࿐ྂ。Kilan rolled his phone between his fingers while trying hard to concentrate on the work in front of him. They had an assessment due that they needed to do the following day but he just could not focus. Musa had not answered any of his texts since the previous morning and he was starting to become really worried about her. His brain started working over time and it immediately went to the worse. What if Dinah and Rose had done something to her?
What if the three witches had done something to her and her friends?
He hated feeling so helpless that even if he wanted to, he wouldn't be able to help. The boy groaned, opening his phone again and scrolling through the messages to see if there had been any indication of danger. He then went to the local news site about anything that may have involved the girls but the only article he found was about what happened at the exhibition with Bloom and the blonde chick.
It was only Monday and he knew he'd only be able to go to Alfea later.
“Stop tapping your foot. You're starting to make me nervous.”
Kilan glanced up to the woman who sat across from him. She was reading something on her laptop but her attention was on him. “Sorry.”
The woman looked at him and she frowned. “What got you like this? Your girlfriend not replying to any of your messages?”
Kilan didn't answer and just stared at his phone, wondering if he should call Musa or not. “Don't be like that, Dinah will answer you. You know she always does.”
Kilan rolled his eyes at the mention of the pink haired girl. The last thing he wanted to talk about was that girl. He distanced himself from her and Rose for a reason. He never wanted to talk or hear any of their names again.
Gaida glanced up as she had caught the eye roll. “Is there trouble in paradise? This is a first.”
“There's no trouble in paradise because there was never a paradise to begin with,” Kilan retorted. “And besides, she and I were never together and never will be together.”
“Why not? I thought you really liked her. You had been pinning after her since you were younger. What happened?”
Kilan leaned back in his chair. “I grew up, that's what happened.”
Gaida rolled her eyes at her younger brother. “If it's not her that's bothering you, then what is?”
Kilan wondered if he should even tell her. He had mentioned Musa to his sister but he didn't tell her that they were together now. Gaida most likely still believed that the two of them were just friends. If it had been anyone, they'd immediately clock it but his sister was always in her own world, always one year behind everyone else.
“It's Musa.”
“The girl who goes to Alfea? What about her?” Gaida asked, her eyes now back on the laptop again and she started typing away on the laptop. “She hadn't texted me back since yesterday morning.”
Gaida glanced over her glasses, with a frown but she didn't stop typing at all. “How is that weird? Maybe she's just busy.”
“Yeah, but she would've told me.”
“Why? Are you two already that close?” Gaida asked, her eyes on the screen again and Kilan sighed, loudly. He then decided to Just blurt it out. There was no use running around the subject in a circle.
“We are close actually. She's my girlfriend.”
Gaida stopped typing altogether as she turned her head to her younger brother. “What? Come again?”
